I have waited for 3 summers to go by to do this review to get good information on this. I have been involved selling and servicing gas weed eaters for more than 30 years. Our family business started selling the original "Weed Eaters" when I was young so over 35 years I have handled probably hundreds of these trimmers. I purchases this trimmer for our home/farm and usually its gets used once a week. I was always the one responsible to do all the cutting chores at home. This unit is light weight and so easy to use my wife now enjoys taking care of the grass and weeds with it now. She will come in the shop, grab a battery, pop it in and go! Takes about 30 minutes for her to complete the trimming in our yard, when done she hangs it back up and puts the battery back on the charger. The trimmer line feeds out well and is no problem to load new string in when needed too. I was extremely skeptical replacing my gas trimmers with this but now I can say I will never own another gas trimmer! No more worries about mixing fuel, storing fuel and gummed up carburetors from winter storage.

Overall product was in excellent shape. Well known product that I expect will perform great. No issues at all. Amazon does a great job of inspecting / testing these products.

I have a lot of Milwaukee Tools: drills, sanders, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers. So with two M-18 battery packs and charger I took the plunge and bought the mid-range weed-wacker. This tool is well designed, efficient and not too heavy. It’s still not as good as my gas Husquevera but it’s close enough that I prefer it. The battery looses zip after 30-40 minutes, but a quick replace has you going again in seconds. I’ve had others, but this one has an automatic feeder which is a joy for its hassle free use. We live in the Catskills on a mountain, so a weed-whacker is a must have tool.

I’d been wanting a Milwaukee weed eater for some time as I have multiple other Milwaukee tools and love em all . And as expected, I was not disappointed. Has all the power of gas and without the headaches. Weed eater arrived in excellent condition, took no time to assemble and maybe 5 minutes to load with string. Has plenty of power to spare . Lived up to my expectations.

This product works as expected. I already have Milwaukee products so these yard products made perfect sense to own. The string trimmer works great and has awesome balance.

I bought this because my 10yr old was struggling with my gas trimmer in hopes that it would be lighter. After reviewing the spec's it was a full 2lbs lighter, but in practicality, the weight reduction isn't in the correct spot to help him. I love it though. Far more power than expected and the battery life is what I would expect.
