Odor Eliminator for Dead Rodents - 1 oz

I had the unfortunate experience of something dying in my wall and this saved the day and my sanity! We had raccoons in the attic and our pest control people said it was some kind of critter that likely got stuck when exits were sealed and sadly, the animal died in the wall. The stench was unbearable, and I thought I would have to tear out the wall! This was a much easier, and less expensive, solution and saved us from a stench that would make your eyes water. The product is very concentrated so you won't need a lot, and please know that it's a 1 fluid ounce amount. You soak a few cotton balls to place around the stinky area and within a few days, the odor is gone. Pest control said decomposition would take a few weeks to a few months, depending on what died, so it takes time, but this will definitely eliminate the odor and make the process bearable. We put the product out and within a day the odor had dissipated, and then we just had to wait until nature took its course.

Unbelievable! I had a rat die & rot on the carpet in the back seat of my truck. The smell was unbearable, even after shampooing 3 times & using a bleach solution. When I got this I soaked 2 cotton balls and left them next to the nasty spot and 2 days later the smell was noticeably less. Then after 2 more applications in the next 4 days, the odor is GONE!!! We can comfortably use our truck again!

I'm a fairly hard dude. I drink 94 proof black spiced rum day and night. I like hot sauces like Pure Cap, Pure Lava, and Da Bomb. For those who don't know, those sauces are 1-2 million scoville units or more. I got some in my eye at work once. It bothered everyone else more than it bothered me. I guess it wasn't pretty. I eat food hotter than a biker from New Zealand can handle. My point is, I'm no snowflake. This RatSorb product has an odor all its own. I almost preferred the dead body. If you have several gruesome cow carcasses in your bedroom, then MAYBE this is a good product. Otherwise enjoy the bodies because this stuff has more than its own "odor". It has an "oh dear". It works, but you might prefer the stench of death. I haven't made up my mind. I opened up a different product to handle stink, to handle the the stink of RatSorb. I have more than half a bottle left. If it wasn't such a complicated idea, I'd pay you to take it off my hands.

Used it for 1 dead mouse in my trailer. The mouse was prpbaly dead a few days that we were not in our trailer. W we got back to our trailer the smell of death was Unreal finally located the source and removed the dead mouse. Tried to clean it with everything I could think possible including white vinegar baking soda alcohol I couldn't use bleach because it was on a oak cabinet in my kitchen. Tried airing it out and that just aggravated the Beast. Smell was just lingering so I got to the internet and got on Amazon and found this product. So far so good that odor has really dissipated almost 100% in less than 24 hours. I only gave it 4 stars because I want to see how it works over the next couple of days and how it lasts if the smell comes back. I will update in about a week. BUT SO FAR I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN. The smell it has is very tolerable. 100 times better than dead mouse.

From reading all these lower reviews, I'm not sure what people are expecting. To hide the smell of a rotting corpse you murdered last week? Nonetheless I had a putrid ammonia smell arising in my camper fridge after I had a rapid infestation of field mice from where it had been sitting. The smell was enough to take your breath away and opening the fridge was a death wish. However, I soaked two cotton balls and threw them in a cup and set it in the fridge. Naturally the smell leaked out and filled the living room from having the door open. I partially soaked a single cotton ball and set it on a paper plate by the fridge. Within 10-15 minutes it had eliminated the ambient ammonia odor from the fridge being open. It was an area of about 20'×16'. The refrigerator was in much worse shape, however I was curious and poked my nose in after an hour and the smell was almost entirely gone. Pretty happy with it. Tips to anybody that uses it, if the air is stagnant, it won't do much. If you barely get enough on a cotton ball to change it to a yellowish hue, then you need to apply more. Good product, a little over priced but it worked. I will be buying another bottle soon. Side note, works wonders on removing odors from shoes. Dab some on the end of your finger and rub it onto the sole of your shoe, kills the odor for several uses.

I kept seeing ads for this products and wondered if it truly worked. We had a rat die in our hearing system and could not locate the carcass. It left our tiny little house smelling like death, so I ordered Ratsorb in desperation. When it arrived, I quickly opened it d started placing soaked cotton balls around the house. Within an hour, the smell was under control, however, a dead rat in an unknown location is going to take time to decompose and the strong smell remains for a very long time. I found that after a few day, the efficacy of Ratsorb fades and the product must be reapplied. IN the long term, I did not find this product as helpful as the claims. The small size bottle isn’t sufficient to deal with the long term effects of a dead rodent stuck in an unknown location, nor is it cost effective. I would not buy this product again, but then again, I would hope that this problems doesn’t repeat itself.

Well I bought this product based on all the 5 star reviews ( which I really should stop doing on Amazon ). In all honesty this is not some silver bullet cure all. I used this whole tiny/expensive bottle in one shot and all it did was add another layer of smell to the death soup emanating from an exterior wall. What really did help was opening a window, placing a fan in it blowing to the outside then opening a second window across the room for cross ventilation. The rest is just a waiting game for mother nature to do her thing.
