I posted a demo video of all the various amp simulations in my review. Just take a look at my review. The video is short but gives an idea of how the various amp sims sound.

How is this powered ? Batteries or is it rechargable ?

It can take AA batteries, it does not have a built in rechargeable battery. It does have a power adapter that comes with it but I am telling you, you do not want this amp, it's awful. You're better off spending a few extra bucks and getting the Orange micro or the orange for $109. Buy a better used amp on Craigslist. Don't be fooled by reviews on here, this amp is awful as a little portable practice amp, absolutely atrocious for an everyday practice amp.

Is it normal the drums are so low at max and distorted on high gain amp settings?

The amp has an awful, small ,cheap speaker which is why clean channels sound awful and the 5150 is the best sound. The amp can't differentiate between a clean drum sound on a distorted channel, it's too cheap for that so you will always have a distorted drum sound on a high gain channel. The unit isn't defective, it's just cheap. You can find drum tracks on YouTube to play along with if you have no other options.

Can this amp be used through the usb to connect to iphone and record on iphone garage band?
