Works well.

These drills work well for deeper 1/8" holes in softer materials such as wood. For drilling through harder, shallower material I use short impact 1/8" drills, because as one would think these longer Bosch drills are more likely to break off due to the long thin drill. The Bosch drills are somewhat fragile (brittle) which is the reason for removing one star, HSS jobber 1/8" drills in much longer lengths are typically tougher but have to be chucked directly into the drill, less convenient by far. You can't have it both ways. A heavy T-handle cordless driving a long thin drill is more likely to exert bending or lateral force, breaking the drill. Even heavy force applied for metal drilling is more likely to break a long thin drill-- especially when the cutting flutes snag breaking through, or if the drill hogs into the material. It is becoming more difficult to find the longer drill lengths in hex ball, just because so many people break them off when what those people really need is the shorter tougher impact drill or more care in use. Bottom line: 1/8" is a favorite size to use, and I keep a long thin drill like this one for deeper holes, plus a shorter impact (such as DeWalt DD5008, which is very short) for more common shallower holes. The impact drill is more durable in general use, but the usable hole depth is 1/2 to 2/3 of this Bosch drill. You can't make a short drill longer, but you can drill a shallower hole with a longer drill.

I have a ryobi drill. Its the one that you can twist the handle to get it into a 90 or 180 degree unit. I needed to install a camera and somehow had every drill bit size but a 1/4in one. Thankfully, Amazon had this available. It shipped quickly, was cheaper than the big box store, and fit my ryobi drill perfectly. 10/10 easiest camera install.

I prefer these hex bits when using a holder thus allowing quick bit changes. I do not recommend if drilling hard materials. The issue is the shafts takes the punishment often snapping if the bit jams unlike a standard round shaft that will spin in the chuck.

Does work fine in impact driver but for thick steel you really have to watch your speed and should use cutting oil. For sheer metal this blasts fight through just fine on high speed, no cutting oil needed. Handy to keep in tool bag with your impact if you don't lug around a drill as well.

Good quality as these actually run straight when compared with cheaper ones I used before Saves a lot of messing around as fit in impact driver then you got two drills
