Bass Bridge for 4-String Fender Jazz or Precision Bass- Chrome

First I put this on my Fender Squier Jazz bass, hoping it would fix the "dead spot" issue on first string seventh fret. Bridge went on great, was able to adjust it just perfect.... did NOTHING for the dead spot though.Next I tried it on my Fender Squier PJ bass. After doing a full action set-up, checking everything from neck relief to intonation, the bridge ALMOST worked, but the first and fourth bridge saddles were completely "decked" -- basically I took the height adjustment screws out -- and the action was STILL a little too high. This was undoubtedly due to the slightly thicker bottom plate, which was great except it was too thick for this bass.Very nice bridge if it works for you though. It is slightly bigger than the regular cheap Fender bridges, and looks very sharp!!!! Not as huge as some "high mass" bridges but I think that's a good thing. Very sorry it didn't work out for me!

Wicked solid bridge. Perfect fit for my 2019 Fender MIM Player Jazz Bass. It requires 70mm screw spacing, so kudos to the seller for posting that information. I had mistakenly purchased other bridges, which claimed to be a direct replacement for 5 hole fenders, but in reality had odd spacing; like 67.6 mm. Not so with this one.

I just bought a MIM Fender Vintera 70s jazz bass but was having horrible fret and string buzzing and this bridge helped a lot with that problem. Also the look of black tension springs and screws on the old one was bothering me. I got this one instead of a Hi Mass or something else - because of shimming the neck. This bridge is SO nice. It fit perfectly (used the old screws), no shimming and also the casting and quality were so much better then the stock bridge. I love having the channels/guides that the height adjusters ride in. If you have a Squire, MIM Fender bass or ??? get this if you have a 5 point mounting. You will really like it.

As above, used original mount screws as better. Clean design & proper OEM fit & finish. Quality alighnment, worth the low price / easy upgrade.Saddle length screw head could b higher/better access as too close to body surface, all else fine.

A great upgrade to my Glarry bass, it has improved sustain and intonation quite a bit. Easy to install!!

I installed this in a mid-90's to early-00's Fender MiM fretless jazz bass that had spent several years in some dude's basement. It was mostly unplayable before replacing the bridge so I can't really say that it changed the tone or increased sustain. I also primarily play fretted six string instruments. But if you need a drop in replacement and don't want to spend an extra twenty bucks for a logo, this is a fine replacement.

This bridge is awesome! A good bit heavier than the stock bridge, but not obnoxiously oversized. I can feel WAY more vibration in the body now!!! Very noticeable, and a great upgrade to my 90's USA Fender bass.

Great improvement on Squier on budget price.

Have a Squier Jazz Jass. This bridge has more surface area and is heavier than stock, adding some sustain. Grooved slots to keep bridge adjusters from moving, perfect fit, screw holes line up. Nice.

Since the purchase of my Fender Player Precision bass one year go, I couldn't be fully satisfied with the sound. I've first tried changing the pickup for a quarter pound, but it was like boosting a bad sound. Then I was getting something better with the Fender that comes with the ones from USA, but I was still not satisfied. Looks like changing the original bridge with this one added so much tone to it! This is a really nice quality bridge. It looks as nice as any similar model on high end basses. I don't really like the sound of a high mass bridge and I prefer the classic look, so this bridge size is just perfect to keep the look nice and get a more fuller tone.

Slapped this bridge on my Affinity PJ and the poor grounding hum disappeared immediately. Works about as well as any high end bridge unless you need to shift your strings from side to side. Otherwise it's the upgrade you've been asking for at a quarter the price.
