Misting wand for plants
Have used 5 of the 22 nozzles in this package. Two started slowly but opened right up with a quick rap from a fingernail. After many hours all 5 still work fine. I have some flowers that love sunlight but their location can be too sunny on a clear day. Photos show a 5-foot misting wand that can be placed by the plants. It works great. Nothing gets watered too much, and nothing dries out dangerously. How "thirsty" are these nozzles? I put the misting wand inside a larger pipe with the end set to drain in a bucket. Thirty minutes later the bucket held 3.5 quarts. That would be 7 quarts (1.75 gallons) per hour. Water pressure here is set to 50 psi. On average, each nozzle sprayed 0.35 gallons per hour. That's certainly frugal watering. It's reasonably close to the vendor's advertised 0.5 gallons per hour. For this project I used a 5-foot piece of CPVC pipe, brand name PEX. It's available in white, red, or the blue I used. The Shark Bite fittings on the ends cost more than some other fittings but with Shark Bite you don't need to buy any special tools. Just push the pipe into the fitting. Then there's an adapter to connect the pipe thread end to a hose thread end, and then a quick-connect fitting to the shutoff valve and hose. Some Teflon tape keeps the threaded fittings watertight. Of course the fitting on the opposite end seals the pipe closed so water only comes out the misting nozzles. If you're familiar with fittings do it any way you want. If all this is a mystery to you then do what I did at my orange big box store: ask an expert. Once you have the right pieces this could be the easiest puzzle ever assembled. Apache 99000322 1/2" x 260' Spool of Teflon Thread Seal Tape My nozzles are evenly spaced about a foot apart. All point in the same direction. Design yours any way you like. My wand simply sits in notches on a couple pieces of scrap wood. I used the Greenlee DTAP10-24 Combination Drill and Tap Bit, 10-24NC to make the threaded holes for the little nozzles. This is not like drilling a hole. You need to make little holes in the pipe, then gently, gently tap some threads in those little holes. This bit makes the little hole and then cuts screw threads in the side of each hole. If you use a power drill, use the lowest, slowest setting. Be gentle. I put a bit of masking tape on the bit so I would know when to stop. No tools needed for installing the nozzles. Gently screw them finger-tight. Easy. My plants are hydrated. I'm happy. And I hope you found this helpful.

Perfect replacement Mister valves!
This work great! I have misters around my back patio that been clogged up from mineral buildup for some time. I’ve tried cleaning them without any success and I’ve finally come to the conclusion it’s easier just to buy new ones. I now have the best mister ever with all the mister valves working just in time for summer. All of them are working perfect putting out a nice mist. I am going to buy another set just to have on hand because I like these so well. Due to the hard water I have I realize any valve will only last so long.

Worked nicely on Ryobi misting fan
It worked well and I will be misting fan, but it doesn’t help with the same as the original did. I feel this gives you an nice amount of pieces for the price for the specialty item. It’s easy to install and seem pretty sturdy. Definitely worth buying over getting if you amount and waiting months for Ryobi to send you a replacement part.

Nice Mist Solution
I used 4 of these nozzles to build a misting system to keep my chickens cool. I used 1/2" PVC for the pipes. The nozzles were installed on the connector pieces between the pipe sections, which are a bit thicker and seem to provide a more secure location to screw the nozzles in. I used a 5/32" drill and a 10-24 tap (purchased cheap at Harbor Freight). Nothing to it - easy to drill, easy to tap, and the nozzles fit perfectly and hold in well. No drips or leaks that I can notice. I did add an Orbit 10109W Misting Calcium Inhibitor Filter for misting systems, found on Amazon for about $15. The entire system works well, delivering a nice cooling mist with just a little bit of pressure from the hose. One nozzle did not mist - it shot a fine stream of water. I just swapped it with another nozzle and all was well. So I recommend buying more than you need to account for the odd imperfect nozzle, probably not an issue at these low prices.

Perfect fit, well made, easy to install
I like that these nozzles come with a rubber washer already attached and can be finger tightened. This makes it easier to change out clogged heads. The knurled finish is easy to grip, and the threads are machined to correct tolerances to fit the output fitting. The low price on these makes it economical to replace clogged heads as needed. I have had my misting system for several years and have purchased this product multiple times. Great product, I always have extra on hand to use as needed.

Inconsistent
I bought these last year for my misting system and had to replace several a number of times. We do have hard water in this area. I just bought more and right out of the package several of them did not work. Very different from last year. I will be returning them. In the meantime, I read about the stainless steel misting nozzles. I read a number of articles that they are much more corrosion resistant than brass and also more adapted to harsher environments like Arizona summers. I did order a package of those and where the NEW brass ones failed, the stainless steel works. In fact, the mist output is much better.

Great idea, just not mine
Bought 'em to replace mister nozzles for the Orbit Mister system. See, the other reviewers' major complaint about the Orbit Mister was that the nozzles were hit or miss. Then I saw people buying water line filters for 12 bucks for a 16 buck mister system that is da bomb. Seemed like a bad strategy to me. So I figured, better to spend the 12 bucks on 22 additional mister nozzles to swap 'em out. Sure enough, 2 of the original misters were equivocal in function, so I slapped in 2 new ones from this set and boom, job done, everything working. Save your money on filters that may or may not work and just get a pile of these inexpensive replacement nozzles. I gotta say this was a brilliant idea. I also gotta say it was my wife's idea.
