Tiger Chef 6-inch 1/2 Half-Size 22 Gauge Stainless Steel Anti-Jam Steam Table Pan with Lid

bought a 3pack of these pans to use for maple sugaring, was using an old water bath canner as a sap boiling pan then went looking for something that would work better, could have got an 18x24 maple pan for around $200 but 2 of these pans cover the same area on the woodstove at a fraction of the cost, and i have a spare pan. initially i was sent the wrong size pans but tigerchefs customer service were superb, i have rarelly had such a pleasant experience with customer service, they were polite and friendly and shipped the right pans out and i got them in 2 days, not a small feat out in the middle of nowhere on the canadian boarder. i was very impressed with their service and when i checked the pans they fit perfect on my stove for maximum surface area (whats needed for boiling sap into syrup). i highly reccomend the tigerchef and these pans for small scale sugaring

These are just what we were looking for to hot-hold frostings for doughnuts. Good product. Fit accurately in our steam table.

Does the job well

I had previously ordered the half size which I felt was too big for everyday use so I kept it and ordered the smaller size since I’m only cooking for 2. I’m a home cook and bought those pans specifically for seasoning meats. I like the small size because it’s perfect for 2 plus it takes little space in my fridge. I won’t be putting pans in oven since I only bought for marinating meats. I need to mention that the customer service from Tiger chef checks in to see if you’ve received product and whether or not you like it. Great service!

I use it for a dog water bowl- right around 5 gallons

This is my very first year collecting sap and turning it into syrup so I didn't want to spend tons of money on equipment. I am just now doing my first batch on a camp stove and starting tomorrow I will be doing it on a small outdoor wood stove. The full size wouldn't have fir on my camp stove, but I think next season I will get the fullsize to use on my wood stove.
