Having attended one of the author's courses on Social Media last year, I was happily surprised to see that he'd published a book on the topic. The book is exactly what it states to be : the definitive 'hands-on' guide on how to become a successful social media manager. The book is easy to digest as it is written in a user-friendly style. I found it to be incredibly practical and realistic. Not only would I recommend it as an introduction to the world of social media, but I'd recommend it to anyone who is in the slightest bit interested in this relatively new field, from the least experienced student to the most successful professional.

Una Simple y sencilla guía para conseguir el éxito con Social Media
Esta obra contiene pasos sencillos y eficaces para crear tu plan de acción e implementar Facebook marketing y video marketing para tu empresa. Aunque está escrito en inglés lo recomiendo para todos aquellos que tienen dominio de inglés básico, ya que el libro no tiene unos términos muy difíciles y es más bien una guía que enumera pasos simples y sencillos que cada empresa debería tener en cuenta para tener más presencia en Facebook y YouTube. Lo que más me gusta de esta libro es el hecho de que es sencillo de leer y es directo, habla de técnicas y estrategias esenciales y no se para en contar historias de Facebook u otros conceptos teóricos. La promesa del libro es contar las diferentes áreas que se incluyen cuando ofreces servicios de social media para empresas locales, y algo que me gustó fueron los casos de éxito de las personas de diferentes países que cuentan su experiencia como consultores de social media en primera persona y los ejemplos de cómo ahora mismo ofrecen servicios de Social Media. Aunque nuestra empresa no ofrece servicios de Social Media actualmente, consideramos esta guía como algo fundamental para tener los conocimientos necesarios cuando tomemos la decisión de empezar a ofrecer este tipo de servicios a las empresas españolas. Con el precio actual (menos de 10 euros) recomiendo este libro a todos y lo único que me gustaría saber más sería sobre el tema de video streaming y como las empresas pueden utilizar este sistema de streaming para promocionar sus eventos locales ya que es muy relevante para nosotros, pero supongo que el autor lo podría añadir en la siguiente edición. Si te quieres convertir en consultor de social media no te lo pierdas
Sin duda es un libro muy fácil de entender, sin mucho rollo, directo al tema. Comenta técnicas de facebook o youtube que se pueden implementar facilmente. El precio que tiene esta muy por debajo del valor del libro ya que la rentabilidad que le puedes quitar es enorme. Estoy seguro de que te va a resultar super útil en el caso de que quieras emprender una nueva profesión "consultor de social media"

Outdated but good
The book is excellently written and very clearly broken up, however the contents are a bit outdated. Very little mention of Twitter and Instagram. No mention of Tik Tok. More than one mention of Google+, which I don't think exists anymore. At it's core, this book will be helpful to it's reader but may require additional supplemental reading on more contemporary technologies.

Libro totalmente recomendable
Es un libro estupendo, muy al grano de lo que trata y escrito por todo un profesional de la materia. Esta orientado con un lenguaje muy sencillo y esta lleno de consejos para la labor de un consultor de social media local. El existo asegurado.
