That is the limit of the "universal" fitment. If, like me, you have 8mm holes on your rims and don't feel bad drilling them out.... They are universal. If you don't want to drill into your rims, these ain't for you. **Q: I don’t want to over tighten them but they still tend to twist. Could I put a dab of locktite on the nut, or should that affect the rubber?** A: I've had no issues with them wanting to twist. I don't recall the manufacture a torque speck.
