Will these disks play in sony players? i bought these in 2015 and they play in my ps3 but not either of my sony stand alone players.

I play them in my Sony player all the time. The problem is more likely the age of the player you were using or the codec you used to burn the disc. Older players cannot play H.264 discs. To protect against that try burning a MPEG 2 version instead. MPEG 2 discs will play in most older machines as well as new machines. I love these discs and have had much success with them.

Has anyone used these with an asus bw12b1st burner? any issues?

Sorry Drew, I have not used ASUA burner but I use both the Lacie and Pioneer external blu-ray burners and a 10 disc tower from Disc Makers which uses the Pioneer blu-ray burners as I use these Optical Quantum 25GB blu-ray disc. They records fine as I have gone through about 600 blu-ray disc now using this Optical Quantum brand on their 25GB printable disc. I burn only at the 1x speed.

I use these purely to store back-up data on. These are perfect, well priced and I have had no issue with any of the discs so far, having used 20. The surface is printable but I just write the contents on them. I cannot fault these. Why pay more?

I have been looking for a good blank Blu Ray spindle for awhile now. I took the chance with these and I am quite happy with them. No coasters (usually if you get a coaster, most times I find it is the software/settings you use). The quality of them seems great. Impossible to tell right now how they stand up to time, but they seem solid. I'd say, you need blank blu rays these will do the trick and a much lower cost than the other guys.
