Polypropylene-Welded an RV Storage Bay
RV shop guys burned a hole through one of my storage bays from the outside while making a repair…but wouldn’t own it. Using a wire mesh patch and plastic welding iron (both from Amazon), I was able to patch the hole (5” x 7”) using these polypropylene strips. They adhered to the mesh patch instantly & dried to a hard finish comparable to the original polypropylene storage bay material (which, after much research, is what is used for those types of bays). The plastic rods included in several iron kits will not work on polypropylene so use these, not those which are cheap plastic. Be sure to wear gloves & safety goggles. Overall, very satisfied and these provided good results.

Misleading photo
Product is okay, but you only get one small bundle. Photos show 5 bundles more which is misleading… beware

Good fill for plastic welding
I am used to using flatter pieces, but these fill more rapidly. These "rods" are triangular shaped but work nicely. They heat and flow in a way that with a little practice, work fine.
