Great Little SSD!
UPDATE: I ended up buying a second one when it went on sale for $60 to replace the Crucial 120GB SSD I was using for my boot O\S drive, the one with Windows installed on it. Windows 7 gets so bloated over time that I kept running out of room for the paging files and having problems at times. The switch over to the new drive could not have been easier. I used the free version of Macrium Reflect to clone the old drive to the new larger drive which took about 30 min. Then I had to do it all over again because I forgot to tell the software to resize the partition to include all the new extra space! DOH! About 30 min later I was up and running off of the new SSD Drive and could not tell the difference other than it was larger. Has to be one of the smoothest experiences I've ever had in replacing a hard drive that included Windows. After another few days I will reformat the old SSD and I'll have another 120gb for more games!!! (much to my wife's chagrin!)SK Hynix Flash Memory 2.5" 250 GB Internal Solid State Drives HFS250G32TND-N1A2AOriginal Review:Great SSD drive. Bought for installing my games. My FPS in my heavily modded version of Skyrim went from 30-40 fps to maxing out at 60 fps since I have V-sync enabled. File transfers are lightning fast and installation was straight forward. It did take a little work as well as a new PCI Card to add additional SATA ports to my computer. This is hard drive # 8 in my PC so had to juggle the drive letters around a bit. Also probably because of the new hardware my UEFI BIOS changed around the boot order but was easy to fix once I figured out what had happened,Can't speak to the longevity of the drive since I've only had for a few weeks but it got very good reviews on Tom's Hardware Guide. That was why I decided to buy this brand in the first place.

It works, thats all that matters.
Working just fine so far. I wanted to move my steam games to an SSD so I grabbed this SK Hynix 250gb SSD because it was the cheapest one. It comes in a very fancy box like an APPLE Ipod would. That display of packing makes it seem like its high quality. Due to reviews of poor SK Hynix customer support, I wanted to get a WD Blue but they were not in stock so I settled for this. It is of course light, those that say an SSD "FEELS" cheap are the reason why companies put lead weights in old school phones. It is an SSD drive that means there is no MOTOR, its just a bunch of chips. chips dont weigh anything. aluminum to cool them if needed, doesnt weigh anything. a FEEL Test is not valid. its not a hard disk its a pile of nand chips. an SSD that is heavy is a warning sign that it overheats and they are compensating for that. it better "FEEL" cheap. the case is 90% empty due to it isnt a HARD DRIVE but it needs to be as big as one. so the aluminum case is mostly empty. as for the NAND chips. this uses TLC chips which some complain about. they are the cheapest chips. so if you are trying to pay less money you get TLC NAND chips. I never tested how fast it read or wrote. I do know it moves data faster than my 7200 wd blacks. hopefully it lasts the 3 years it is warranted for. What puzzles me about this drive though is that everyone advertises its specs as "up to 560 MB/s; sequential write (128KB, typical): up to 490 MB/s; random read (4KB, typical): up to 100,000 iops; random white (4KB, typical): up to 85,000 iops" except the box clearly states that is wrong. the box says "read 560 write 460 read 90k write 83k"

Not the best performance, but still a MASSIVE speed boost over a regular hard drive
It's no performance king, but if you still have a regular mechanical hard drive, it's an impressive speed boost for the money. This review is coming from a WD Blue 1TB SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch Desktop Hard Drive (WD10EZEX). I wanted an SSD to use for my operating system and programs while keeping the HDD for my Steam Game library and my movies. Basically OS and programs on the SSD, big stuff left for the hard drive. It is delivered in a box with the SSD in it, that's it. If you need a SATA cable or a mount be sure to buy that separately.SK Hynix has a migration tool on their website that allows you to migrate to the SSD pretty easily, my migration only took about a half an hour to finish.I ran Crystal DiskMark on both drives so you can see the improvement. Pretty much 3-30 times faster depending on the test you are running.Look if you are doing heavy video editing and you need the speed, spend the extra $40 and get the Samsung drive. I'm very happy with this purchase as my computer boots in 6 seconds and I don't have to wait at all for my programs to open.TL,DR: Great little drive. Not the best, but a massive improvement if you are still using a mechanical hard drive.

Terrible dependability. Hi failure rate. Do not purchase.
Purchased this 250 gb SSD in 2017. Saved a system image on the SSD for back up of my office billing computer. Did not use the SSD for 3 years. Went to check the drive and it has failed. The drive is not recognized by disk management and cannot be formatted. The drive was probably used less than 1 hour. I have a 120 gb drive from the same year. Also failed after being used about the same amount of time. Terrible warranty policy. You cannot contact the company directly. You have to go through the vendor who sold the SSD to you.

Money well spent! Amazing improvement in load times.
I bought this to improve the performance of my Xbox 1. I installed this in an Inateck USB 3.0 enclosure which was extremely simple since it required no tools. I plugged it into the Xbox 1 rear USB 3.0 port. I was prompted to format it and it was ready to go in a few seconds.I ran some tests for Battlefield 1 loading times. The performance is real!! My load times went from around 2 min 30 sec with the Xbox internal HDD to only 40 sec with this SSD externally attached. I used to be the last one to load a map out of all my friends, now I'm probably first to load. My only complaint is I wish I upgraded sooner!

Dissapointed in speed
Just got mine installed and running. The speeds on the device I recieved are less than half of what the 850 EVO brings home.
