The pad material has a good amount of friction to hold things in place, but feels relatively smooth to touch. The back of the pad is a nice black rubber mosaic that helps keep the pad rooted in position.As for gaming, it's clear this isn't a "true" gaming pad, the price reflects that. I had to turn the resolution up on my mouse to increase the cursor response on screen, but I can see this style of surface being advantageous for games that require a certain mouse "control" and accuracy rather than outright speed. Having said that, the mouse I'm using in the photo is a bit cheap and therefore your experience may differ to mine.I love the design of the pad, the asymmetric pattern matches with a new PC case I bought and the print quality is spot on. The colour gradient is more of a grey to black rather than a white to black. However, the pad doesn't come without its defects (as seen in the last two photos). Edges are quite frayed most of the way around the pad, I wouldn't deem it "unusable" but it's certainly a disappointment to receive a product with this sort of edging, especially given that it also plays a part aesthetically.Overall, I like the pad and don't regret purchasing it. If I was an eGamer I would think twice but for casual gamers to general office workstations I would certainly recommend it as a cost effective alternative. Bare in mind, you get what you pay for, but if you like the designs available and aren't concerned about mouse response in FPS games then this may be the pad for you ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2 month review *by J***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 March 2021* I like to wait before I review stuff so I can get a decent feel for how it is, I've currently had this mouse mat for around two months and I have no issues with it.It arrived in a cardboard tube (like those you get posters in) and it looked exactly the same as the picture. I have a fnatic branded mouse mat already that's looking worn due to rubbing and the quality felt almost identical in terms of thickness but the top on this one felt more 'waxed' so it had less resistance to sliding around.I'd say where the top of the fnatic official branded mat was more cotton type, this feels more spandex type. That's really the best way I can put it. It also stretches like spandex so it probably is. Normally this means a product is cheap but on a mouse mat it's really nice.I haven't had any wearing on it yet but normally this takes about a year for me with constant use anyway. Theres been no fading though.I haven't washed it because the last time I washed any mouse mat it ended up ruined so I can't talk about that side. I prefer the feel of neoprene (like this) as it is warm to the touch in winter (unlike vinyly) and cool to the touch in summer unlike felt.I also like the two tone colour as it brightens up my desk a bit and is also forgiving on any stains.
