I'm also on a college campus every day and it suits my needs just fine. I get to all my classes on time. It's really a great board. **Q: Is there any shock pads under the trucks?** A: There is a plastic plate between the board and truck mount. The board itself is very flexy. **Q: If i buy this board, i'd like to put bigger wheels on it. in your experience what's the biggest size i can put on this board (w/o wheel bite) ?** A: If you check out the dimensions of the board, you'll see quite a bit of space for bigger wheels. Even with the bigger wheels, the board can't turn hard enough to have the board touch the wheels...
