This book is incredibly touching. It asks important, thoughtful questions that really help capture a mother’s life, memories, and experiences. Reading through it made me realize how many things I wish I had asked my own mother before she passed away. It’s a beautiful keepsake and a meaningful gift that helps preserve stories that matter most.

I bought this for my mom, as she was laid up in bed with a busted leg. As a bonus I thought I'd get to know her better! She said it was thoughtful and enjoyed writing in it, although I haven't got it back yet I'm excited to read it.

I recently purchased "Tell Me Your Life Story, Mom" for my girlfriend for Mother’s Day, and it has been a wonderful gift. Her daughters were immediately interested and eager for her to start working on the book. Pros: Engaging Prompts: The guided journal contains thoughtful prompts that make it easy for mom to reflect on and share her life experiences. Beautiful Keepsake: The quality of the book is excellent, with sturdy pages and a lovely design, making it a cherished keepsake for years to come. Interactive and Fun: My girlfriend’s daughters were so excited and involved, wanting to help mom with the book right away. It turned into a delightful family activity. Cons: Time-Consuming: Given its detailed nature, it requires a significant time commitment, but the end result is well worth it. This is such a cute book and a great idea for families. The pages have plenty of space to write it even has places to attach pictures on some of the pages and also includes a family tree in it. It’s a great way for children to learn about their family and past generations and experiences. It gives kids an insight to their families history that can help keep memories alive for future generations

Trust me when I say I scoured various websites, comparing pros and cons, purchased and returned at least a half a dozen of these life story books before finally deciding that this is the one I want to give to my mom. (I also got the dad version) For me it came down to the variety of questions that are non-repetitive, just the right amount of space for writing thoughts, empty pages for free writing and notes to loved ones, family tree, basic information, short answer questions, favorites, to thought provoking prompts, and paper quality. There are also no places for attaching photos, which I like because I can see my mom getting frustrated about having to dig through albums and old photo envelopes to find them...that's what photo albums are for. I prefer that this is strictly for writing. The pages aren't thin, your average book paper. It doesn't look as though writing from the other side will show through. The cover is warped, as shown in my photo but it's not a deal breaker for me. I'm not crazy about the feel of the cover either, it's more of a waxy matte than a silky smooth matte. Again though, what's inside is exactly what I was looking for, so I'm willing to overlook that. The inside, like the cover, is very plain and simple. Would have liked more of an interesting design and graphics. However, something about this one just spoke to me and the others don't compare. My mom has been struggling with getting older and feeling the mental and physical effects of it, (she's 75 and hasn't been the same since she broke her hip over a year ago) so I think this will be a wonderful way to lift her spirits and get her mind on things that bring back memories. It will give her something to do that feels meaningful 😊

Loved this fit a gift for my mom. Time goes quickly and I love that even after my mom is gone we will still have her stories to look back on!

Up to now as I am still writing would like a blank page in order to extend my memories. I am aware there are some but would ĺike more. But good questions so good information about me.

Best Christmas gift

The basic idea is good but for me, it didn't make any sense as it is not a guided journal for the past generation it's more a book where I write my story down more or less in solitude... which defeats the purpose in my opinion. Despite that, you can see plenty 'empty' pages to fill the book. Lastly, I bought the paperback and the pages are too fine so that you can see your writing partly on the next page and the whole book feels very flimsy. Nothing you pass down for generations... it's like a workbook, use it and dispose it.

I love this book. My daughter will one day receive a very special gift. I bought a second one for her in case she decides to have kids one day and she can pass them down. Knowing your family history is important and it’s so special coming directly from the source. Would definitely recommend!
