Can this be used on bird feeders to prevent rats from climbing up the pole to reach the bird food? Many thanks.

We did spray everywhere, even on the pole leading to our bird table.  However, not sure what is going on, but we have never had rats before and we have been feeding our birds for many years. This time there were at least 3rats,  a mother one feeding young and two large greys (look like sewer rates).  Apparently, we were told the heavy rain had moved the drain lids and rates came out?   We had to discontinue feeding, so no birds came anymore.  We had a hard job getting rid of these rates, very spiteful looking creatures, came out in broad daylight.  We disinfectant everything tried other sprays and a rat trap.    Our pressure washer did scare them off, since the power was so strong and they thought they were going to drown.  Also, unfortunately we have had to stop feeding our birds so thank goodness it is summer time and plenty of natural food around.  We may try again at feeding come the winter months.
