Thank you for writing. **Q: Can I plug the charger into 220 volt?** A: Yes. **Q: Can this be used as a cell phone in the US?** A: No! Tried 2 different Verizon stores and a T-mobile store and they all said it could only be used for text and data and would NOT make or receive voice calls. Spent two hours on the phone with Samsung and Verizon and my friend spent another hour with T-mobile with not success. Returning this item.
