I’m a size 8-8 1/2 with other shoe companies. But new balance shoe size is smaller compared to other companies. This has made it uncomfortable for me at work with this shoe. I first tried an 8.5 medium, my normal size in an athletic shoe, but could barely get it on. Next, I tried a 9 wide as extra width has helped in the past. Again, way too small. So in desperation, I ordered a 9.5 Wide. The length is good but they are a bit wide but better roomy than tight. They don't have a 9.5 Medium anymore so I am trying to decide if they are going to work for me. I love the look of the shoes and the price was right. I even went out and bought thicker socks to see if they fit better. Therefore, I need serious support for my feet, not only for exercise, but for my job as a Walmart- OGP shopper. I took these sneakers out, tried them on, and knew that they'd need a slight bit of breaking in. Wore them to work and absolutely FLEW around the store with little pain in my feet. I could tell that these could NOT BE MY EVERY DAY shoes for my job HOWEVER these sneakers would be PERFECT for the other walks I take along with my other exercise. They're not sturdy enough for doing cross-fit or road running BUT I am really enjoying them. I will try and update this review in a month or two.
