I was hoping to be able to just swap the motor and not the housing. However this unit has the motor mounted opposite of our older one, so I ended up swapping out the whole unit. It's relatively quiet, price is right. Just note that in the future if the motor needs servicing or replacing it looks like the whole unit must be swapped. You can't just swap the motor with one screw like on other budget brands, Broan for example. If I would have know I possible would have purchased a different brand, that lack of research is on me.
