Ready to party
We bought this Pyle 200W Bluetooth Stereo Amplifier as a replacement for an old unit that finally gave outโand we're really happy with the upgrade. It has all the features we need and then some. Setup was quick and easy, especially pairing with Bluetooth, which is how we mainly use it. We stream Amazon Music and Pandora from an iPad and have it connected to outdoor speakers by the pool. The sound quality is excellent and plenty powerful for our space. One nice bonus is the remote control, which our previous amp didn't have. That said, the remote only works if you point it directly at the unit, and you have to press the volume button repeatedly instead of just holding it down. Not a dealbreaker for us, just something to be aware of. Overall, this amplifier does exactly what we needโreliable Bluetooth connection, strong audio output, and multiple input options for future flexibility. Definitely worth it for the price. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Suprisingly nice amplifier for vocals
My bamdmate and I were very pleasantly surprised at thr quality of sound that this thing put out using a simple cheap karaoke mic and an old set of speakers that have been sitting in a porch for the last 2 decades. It has a very nice echo effect that delivered a very soft pleasant vocal quality. I originally bought it for simple band practice and wasn't expecting much, but now we are thinking of using it for recording also. We could get over how well it worked. Plus at 30 bucks it's a steal. It took me about 1 minute to set it up and get it working. I pressed a few buttons and sound came out. Perfect!

All amped up!!!
This unit is very well laid out. It has acceptable power output, with less than average distortion at max volume. The BT and USB functions are operating perfectly. The only criticism I have is the RCA line inputs need an adjustable gain, the input is not amplified properly. That being said the headphone output of most devices works fine without being overdriven. Overall at this price point you could do a lot worse. As a bonus if you register online at the Pyle website you will receive a 3 year warranty on this amp. I have used Pyle marine audio products for years with no problems and good performance, I see no reason to doubt this amp will serve me well also.

Has it's quirks, but if you take the time to identify them it's a pretty good unit
Ordered this back in November and got it Christmas Eve 2022. This is actually a pretty nice receiver. I like the sturdy build quality, the compact size of the unit and how vivid/bright the LCD screen is. Having bluetooth is an awesome touch, because it saves you from having to go out and buy a Rocketfish/Logitech bluetooth audio adapter, etc. As indicated in my heading, there's a few weird quirks about this unit that I discovered which I feel people should know about: 1) There are actually *two* ways to power the unit on and off. One is by using the power button on the unit itself, which is a hard power cutoff switch. If this button is in the OFF position, the entire receiver is completely turned off as you would expect-- no lights, no sound, no display on the LCD. But then there's a 2nd power button on the remote control, which acts completely different. If you turn the receiver off with the remote, the LCD screen stays lit but blanks out, and all the lights remain on. I've never seen a receiver do this, and I'm gonna guesstimate that it has to do with it just being a $50 receiver. 2) There are two ways to increase/decrease the volume. One is via the knob, which works as you'd expect. But on the remote there's a volume up/down button. Since the knob doesn't have an infinite axis (in other words, there's a max and min range it will turn before it stops), you would think it should be motorized or something to sync with the remote. But again-- since this is a $50 receiver, you aren't getting a motorized knob. That would cost a lot more money to manufacture, LOL. I'm gonna play around with this a bit more and see how the volume is affected, etc. 3) When you press the mode button, you'll notice the LCD rotating between different modes like Bluetooth, Radio, SD Card, and so on. However, the mode button only works on ONE of the 4 physical inputs, but the modes will actually display on the LCD regardless of what physical input you have selected. If you want to use any of those features, you have to have the small input knob physically turned to the one labeled "MP3/SD/BT", otherwise you'll get no sound. This quirk sent me in for a mental roller coaster, and it made me think the unit was dead for a while, because I was trying to listen to the radio (which was displaying on-screen), but the radio had NO SOUND whatsoever... So just be mindful of that, and if it looks like the radio is on but not producing any sound-- it's likely because you just have the receiver on the wrong physical input. Update 1/16/23: After playing around with this receiver a bit more, I discovered a few things: A) All the controls on the receiver will control everything as expected, no matter which input youโre using. Probably to avoid most confusion, Iโll be using mine this way and not even bother with the remote control. B) It looks like this receiver has some kind of internal digital computer, for handling the โMP3/SD/BTโ input. This digital portion seems to have no idea that the AUX, DVD and CD inputs even exist, and itโs always on, until you press either the power button on the receiver itself (which will shut the entire receiver down), or the one on the remote. That would explain why there are two ways to power the receiver on and off, why the LCD is always showing โNo Diskโ, and why there are two volume controls. It also explains why the bass/treble/balance controls are NOT on the remote, and why the remoteโs volume control doesnโt affect any of the other inputs. It also seems to be tethered to the silver buttons on the receiver and the LCD screen. C) The remote is ONLY for the internal digital unit mentioned above. So none of the inputs would work with it. Like other comments mentioned, it makes the remote a bit useless unless youโre primarily going to be using that MP3/BT input on the receiver. Anyway, that's it. Overall, itโs a pretty interesting unit and I had fun playing around with it and figuring it out. Itโs a very strange machine, but it's definitely going to do what I need it to do, despite the odd functionality. For $50, itโs honestly not a bad deal. Hope this is helpful to others who want to buy it. :)

0 for 2
So the price is great. The sound, for a few minutes I heard it, was also great. However, here's a little story. I got the box, easy connection, sounds great. Walked to the next room and lost bluetooth connection. No problem, I'll just put it in a different location. Got it reconnected, sounded great for about three minutes, then I hear a crackle, and smoke starts coming from the receiver. OK, I'll call and get a replacement. It arrives, I hook it up and pair it to my phone. No smoke this time, but the Bluetooth is like I'm 30 feet away, dropping signal all over the place. Okay Amazon, thank you for processing my refund. Not going to try another Pyle device anytime in the future. ๐คฌ๐คฌ

Bluetooth DOA
Id had this same receiver installed in my garage to listen to music while cleaning, brewing beer, or whatever else I was doing in the garage and it had performed perfectly until just last week. Turned it on, came on just fine, after 30 min or so lost the left channel and while attempting to diagnose the problem lost right channel as well. The little guy was no longer making a sound of any kind, amp was dead. Ordered the exact same model as a replacement during Amazon days for a slightly better price, amp arrived, plugged it in, waited the 3 hours for internal batteries to charge and found that the Bluetooth would not connect. Tried several things in an attempt to get it to pair up and was unsuccessful. It has been sent back and a new one ordered. If there are additional problems with the replacement unit I will amend this review. Until the old one crapped out after about five years I was very pleased with its performance. But, as they say, nothing lasts forever except the NBA season. As promised I am updating my review. The new one is here, installed and working perfectly. No complaints and have upgraded to five stars. This much receiver for this low a price is an unbelievable bargain. I highly recommend.

Great little receiver for a bedroom a patio the kid's room!
If you're looking for a very very very cheap but functional receiver with Bluetooth built in this is a very hard piece to beat. Just dated something for the outdoor patio with Bluetooth that didn't cost a fortune that wouldn't be a big loss if after a year or two the weather even though I keep it covered got to it. Highly recommended for $60 sounds great very functional does a 2.1 system great but the remote is a little finicky. I can't turn the unit on and off with the remote which is odd but I only use it for Bluetooth applications so as long as the I can turn it on manually Bluetooth stuff into it I don't have anything else connected to it like I said it's on the patio.

Love these amps for several reasons but have some issues.
I've have used the small simpler Pyle amps over the years to run rear speakers from a tv etc. they seem to hold up really well. These PDA6 and 5 units looked like what I need now but have some issues. They have plenty of power output and they can run a floor of speakers thru an impedance matching selector switch. I am running 8 pairs of ceiling speakers I cannot turn the volume up past a 1/4 of the way. I would like a little more fluent range. I love the remote control with these rubber type raised buttons. The price is excellent and Amazon's fast delivery excellent as usual. SD card was excellent, BT connect to phone simple, range not great. but the do tell ya 40ft. Problem 1: The remote should NOT have a button to auto scan the FM stations. someone presses this, not knowing the play/pause button starts an auto scan and now the unit becomes useless for 5 mins until it's done with the scan. poor idea. Only have the auto scan on the front panel. Problem 2: I connect an Ipad to the CD input expecting the amp to be able to control the volume to the speakers and surprise. No volume control. I use remote to power off the unit and the Ipad still plays thru the amp, just no control of the volume. So the user must go to the amp to adjust volume via the ipad. Problem 3: The manual has many wording errors (shocker, I know) and nothing about the missing #13 jack (Aux) or they say Input selector (labeled as #11). So is this Aux jack for an Ipad connection and does it work differently than going thru the CD input. Will I get volume control this way ? Lastly, I received 1 200w amp that had No audio output to the speakers, had to return. I received another 200w amp that would not pair to phone. I Don't know if Amazon is sending out bad units or if this is a Pyle QC issue. I am trying to use the 300w amp, so far so good. but no obvious IR receiver to place the emitters, like the 200w amp has. always something to make you rethink your purchase. Hope this helps someone.

Sweet sounding
Original marantz I had since 1993 has been failing again and again, necessitating $60 repairs each time I finally gave up and bought this pyle based on Amazon stars and reviews I am happy with the purchase. Sound is sweet. Much better than those portable speakers which are also pretty good in and of themselves Everything works as intended once you get used to it Only small gripe is Bluetooth connection is not as automatic as one would have liked. I have to disconnect and reconnect from my pcfir quicker connection
