I was very frustrated that even though the batteries were inserted correctly per the diagram on the end cap, I couldn't get it to work at all. I was in the middle of doing a return when I decided to wait until later to find out where my husband left its original packaging. While waiting, I decided to peruse the reviews and low and behold, someone else had the same problem. They said they had to really tighten down the end cap over the battery compartment and then it worked fine. I tried that using one of those rubber "gripper" jar openers and made it extremely tight. In fact, I will surely have to use that again when I need to change the batteries. Other than that momentary problem, it's a very bright and durable flashlight. I was impressed with its heft and it's textured to ensure a good grip. I'm going to order a couple more so we can have one in the bedroom, one by the front door, and one in the car in case of an emergency or a power outage.

What a flashlight. Light is VERY bright. Could probably see it from space lol. Flashlight very well made. Has 3 light settings. The focused is extremely bright and shines way down the road. The broad light pattern illuminates the area well. Strobe is nice and bright also. Nice heavy feel from the machined aluminum. Water resistant O-ring on battery cap. Nice size, comfortable to hold. Bought one to try it out and ordered 2 more, for the RV and home. Nice that it comes with 6 AA batteries. Highly recommend if need a good, bright flashlight.

Time will tell. Update; 4/5/25 Batteries are holding up but I don't use it very often. Very bright light is a little too bright indoors (especially small spaces like a closet) for my sensitive eyes but is good for outdoors. There are a couple of flat spots on the very front (the portion that houses the lightbulb) of this otherwise perfectly round flashlight. You would think those two flat spots would prevent it from rolling on a flat surface. They do not prevent rolling at all. This is the brightest flashlight in the world. You can see it from Mars. Lightweight, shines steady or flashes - just a really good purchase. Have bought a couple since for my parents, son in his apartment, etc.

I have been having trouble with my vision and don't see well in dim light. I have trouble seeing adequately when I lose small pieces with the flashlights we owned. This flashlight is amazing well built and Very bright. It will be a great help to me.

Firstly, I'll note that the product listing page is confusing and seemingly inaccurate. The product page I ordered from called it "ENERGIZER LED Flashlight PRO", my order history calls it " ENERGIZER LED Flashlight Vision PRO" and the product image was of one with a yellow neck ring. Looking at their chart in the detailed description, it seems the one I received was "Vision HD with Digital Focus", the one with the green ring around the neck. The description also stated it takes 6 AA batteries, but the one I received is rechargable via MicroUSB only and does not have any way to remove or replace the batteries. The included pamphlet states it can be used to recharge other devices such as phones which is a potential plus. Ultimately I just wanted a brand-name flashlight that wasn't bound to my phone so the difference doesn't matter too much to me, but if you're looking for a particular model you probably want to look on a site that isn't rampant with misleading word salad product names. The brightness seems good, the body is metal and has a solid weight to it, I can't speak to durability or battery life yet but overall it seems like a perfectly fine flashlight. The end is rounded, so it's not possible to stand it on its end, if that's a feature you're looking for. My biggest issue, even more than it not being clear which flashlight I was actually receiving, is how the brightness modes are implemented. The entire thing is controlled with one button which leads to some really annoying, undesirable, and potentially dangerous results. Pressing the button cycles the brightness between high, low, strobe, and off. THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN THE LIGHT OFF WITHOUT CYCLING PAST THE STROBE MODE. The strobe flashes between full brightness and off quite rapidly. I don't suffer from visual epilepsy but flashing lights are quite unpleasant to me and this one's enough to start a headache and slight dizziness for me. It would make so much more sense to have the high/low/strobe setting on a separate switch, like most other flashlights I've used. This attempt to "simplify" the controls (probably to cut costs) means if you are prone to photosensitive seizures I have to suggest you steer clear of this light. Also, there are beam width settings, but no instructions included on how to activate them, so I had to look in the Q&As here. This is where the "digital focus" comes in, as while the beam is in the setting you want to use, you need to hold the button for a good 5 seconds as the focus changes. The light flickers slightly the whole time, and quickly blinks off for a moment when it's reached one end of its focus range. It's very unpleasant, takes an annoyingly long time, is also a potential risk for photosensitive people, and in general is just a badly implemented function. Again, would've just preferred a separate manual focus control. Overall, it is... a flashlight. It makes light, it feels like it's not going to break anytime soon, the things I need it to do are there. But the electronics side is implemented in a poorly thought out way that is at best annoying and at worst dangerous, so I would probably look elsewhere. I don't think I'm going to bother returning it since it's really only for occasional household use, but if you're someone who uses a flashlight frequently, such as for camping or work, I'd look for one that has separate controls for its brightness/strobe, power, and focus. Also, steer clear of any off-brand flashlights on amazon that claim lumen counts in the 5 figures. They are, straight-up, lying through their teeth. Which is good because if they were being truthful then some of the flashlights sold on here would be instantly blinding their users.

Very good build quality and very bright. Its also suitable as weapon if someone breaks into your house... so heavy and solid! But it is an experiment how to put the batteries in the right direction... its not wel documented and not logical.

Nunca había comprado una lámpara de la marca Energizer, pues siempre había comprado Led Lenser (que es una excelente marca), y no sabía qué esperar de esta lámpara, sin embargo, me ha sorprendido gratamente. La compré por la cantidad de Lumen indicada que sí corresponde con lo que se ve en la noche. ¡Ilumina super bien! La construcción es verdaderamente muy buena y de calidad. La lente no es ajustable, pero el haz de luz es de largo alcance. Eso sí, cabe aclarar que no es una "lámpara de bolsillo", si bien no es demasiado grande como las lámparas antiguas, sí es de unos 25 cm y un poco pesada por las 6 pilas que usa. En ese sentido (pilas), he optado por comprar pilas recargables de la misma marca porque saldría muy caro estar usando pilas convencionales, además de que tienen mayor amperaje (compré las de 2,000 mA) para una mayor duración.

I purchased this flashlight for my husband who complained that the flashlights we use at night when we take our dogs out, were not powerful enough for our property in a rural area - no street lights and very dark unless there's a full moon. I chose this brand as I wasn't familiar with many of the others that hunters seem to use. I had no clue what a "tac light" was until I researched it and was amazed at how pricey they can be. This Energizer version is excellent quality, has varying settings and is reasonably priced. The beam is so bright with great coverage that we can easily keep tabs on our pets as well as spot any unwanted critters roaming about at night.

Nice and bright with three light modes (wide, focused, strobe). Not sure what strobe is used for, maybe if you're in law enforcement or scaring away rabbits eating vegetables in your garden. The three modes are easy to operate with quick presses on the power button, or if you just want to use as a normal flashlight you just press on and turn off with normal press on the power button. It's a good size light with good quality build. There is a diagram on top of the flashlight lid that shows how to install the batteries and mine came with 6 AA Energizer batteries. Should last a long time.
