This prevents 90 percent of the litter getting out AND bonus my dogs who like to get into the litter cannot get into this. It also prevents the smell from wafting as much. It is also lightweight and easy to move around and samll enough to fit into tight spaces. My cats had no issues adapting to this box. Would buy in a heartbeat again if we need another one.
