When I started using Ruipro, they were new to me and so I wanted to give it some time to try them out before writing a review, plus I didn't have time until now. it has been more then a year now I think since I started using Ruipro but it feels more like 2 years but my cables are still working beautifully. Now Ruipro is all I use for my HDMI cables. normally by now I would have had to replace the cable at least twice if it was a regular copper cable because one of the ends would start falling apart. Ruipro uses metal casings for the ends and strain reliefs to prevent this. I've even started using Ruipro in my office now and as soon as I can afford another cable I'm going to upgrade my main display HDMI cable to Ruipro as well. Ty for being such an awesome seller with awesome great quality products that last Ruipro. They may be really expensive but they're worth it especially if you have to replace a regular copper cable at least twice a year when you spend $40-50 on just a regular copper cable-- it just made sense to me to buy Ruipro and avoid that unnecessary expense so now all my cables at home are Ruipro and when I have to replace a copper cable I replace that with Ruipro too. Their warranty is also phenomenal as I thought one of my cables went bad so I messaged Ruipro whom deemed it a possible defective cable and had a new cable in my hands the next day after proof without even making me pay for shipping which surprised and impressed me. I'm not easily impressed. I have been doing business with Ruipro ever since. Ruipro asked me to write this review some time ago but I got really busy and only now have the time to write such a review. anyway, if you're looking for a phenomenal HDMI cable with a seller that stands behind their product with a fantastic warranty, this is for you.

Pro's: it does the job. Colour pop's. Wide compatibility. Signal is good. Speed is on par with most 48GB hdmi cables. Durability seems good so far. Cons: the source hdmi connector end is a bit too long as it does not fully go in the hdmi port. To clarify yes it plugs in and works but not flush with the port. The cable is very flexable but maybe a bit too much. Verdict: better than over priced Monster hdmi cables but could still be cheaper for the 3M length for example £28. You will notice a bit better picture but audio is in my opinion where this cable shines.

Purchased RUIPRO 8K Fiber Optic HDMI Cable 3M Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 48Gbps 8K@60Hz 4K@120Hz for our new oled tv for when we move. So set up new tv plugged in new cable in to hdmi port and the picture kept flashing and then the screen would go blank for a few seconds then the picture would come back and start flashing and then go blank I sorted out my hold hdmi cable out plugged it in and a perfect picture tried this over priced cable again but nothing flashing picture and blank screen so am now using old 5 year old cable of course because I purchased this cable for are new tv for when we moved it it 30 odd days past return date so if your going to waste your hard earned money on this trash try it straight away if you can ps UPDATE: After contacting Amazon about the failure of the hdmi cable they said they could not do much because it had just gone past the return date but advised me to contact the seller. So I did contact the seller and spoke to Miya who could not had been more helpful she said she would send a new hdmi cable to me without any fuss so a big thank you for the top customer service 😀

Update as Promised!! The replacement cable has worked perfectly for years on both my RTX 4090/5090 GPU's - the issues I had with the first cable were clearly just a flawed unit, this has been literally perfect and provides the bandwidth and stability to ensure the cable is not limiting the raw power from my current RTX 5090 GPU - when you spend $3500 on a GPU, why spend $10 on a crappy cable? Just buy something like this! Like many, I use an LG OLED (C2 42") as my PC monitor, using it's full 120Hz refresh rate with HDR and Gsync (Nvidia) active. I've been through several so called 'certified' cables from other sellers, only to be disappointed with spotty connections/screen artifacts - it's very true that the vast majority of the HDMI 2.1 cables being sold will not work for those who seek to use a PC GPU to push a screen image that uses the full feature set offered by the HDMI 2.1 format. I'm sure those playing games at 60hz do not have these problems as they are not using the full bandwidth of the HDMI 2.1 format, and I suspect that's why many much cheaper cables get the great reviews they do. Initially the RUIPRO 8K (10ft - this was the really surprising part as it's usually at much longer cable lengths such issues arise) had no signal, so I used the provided 'USB 5V power adapter' that acts as a bridge between the RUIPRO and the GPU, providing additional power from one of your PC's USB ports. This worked, but then I read another Amazon customer review where it would seem that RUIPRO customer service seemed to indicate that the use of this optional USB 5V adapter was "prohibited" for use with GPU's. The customer quite rightly assumed this meant the adapter may have the potential to cause damage to a PC GPU and asked RUIPRO for full clarification, which was never received. Update: RUIPRO stated that the 5V power adapter will NOT harm my GPU (RTX 4090), mentioning that there's also no need for it as modern GPU's are highly powered (true), and that in their opinion the problem is a faulty cable. I am more inclined to align to this viewpoint now that the cable has begun to deteriorate even further, losing the signal completely, and refusing to show anything, regardless of whether the 5V adapter was used or not. Perhaps this cable was a 'dud' all along and was just going through it's 'death throws'. The reason they say why they go to the trouble of sending replacement cables directly from their factory in China is that they have the cable certified as fully operational by one of their engineers, who takes the time to test it with similar hardware. This seems like a very thorough process, however I am curious as to whether the same thing could likely have been achieved by just sending the defective one back to Amazon and requesting a replacement, since this specific cable option (Gen 3/C) is advertised as being compatible with all recent RTX GPU's. I am very curious to see if the cable currently in transit from China is any different from the defective one in terms of 'Gen' or other changes/updates to their cables, and hope it resolves what has been a trying period. Coming from using only dedicated PC monitors (not TV's) that prefer DisplayPort cables, using HDMI 2.1 has been a rough introduction, but I do feel that I have just been unlucky and that things will be fine when I receive the replacement cable. I am updating my review (plus one star) to reflect RUIPRO's willingness to work with their customers and answer questions. I have read from other customers that they have a track record of solid customer service and will warranty the cable for life if it's a defective cable, and this is a big deal with the market flooded with mostly 'very average' generic cables promising to do a lot of things they end up failing to do. The HDMI 2.1 standard still seems like it's in it's infancy with regard to reliability over the usual 3-6ft distances, something that will hopefully improve over time, because the LG C2 OLED 'Evo' 42" TV is the best computer 'monitor' I have owned, and if it weren't for these issues, I could never imagine going back to my 3440x1440p ultrawide for daily use and gaming purposes. There's just no going back after using 4K OLED, and on the dedicated PC side, prices are still VERY high in comparison. Fingers crossed this new cable resolves, if it does I will update my review again to reflect a 5 star rating.
