Small and works well
Easy install. Works great

Nice and clean looking not noticeable at all
2018 RAM, I had to put a tiny spacer behind the control knob so the button would engage because the dash was too thick for the neck on the control button. Other than that it plugs right in with the use of the correct harness adapter.

Great product super easy to install
This is great- it took about 30 min to install, that’s with finding the ideal spot to locate the control button/knob/indicator. Take the time to find a good spot and use a drill bit 1/16 of an inch bigger than recommended or it won’t fit through the hole. This product works great with my horse trailer and is simple to adjust on the fly. I recommend popping the button off and setting the trailer icon level to the dash when you get it just right- that way you know where “zero” is and can adjust accordingly.

Great upgrade
Installed this to replace a Tekonsha P2 in my Tacoma. The P2 is rather huge, and even with the ability to mount it angled, it's hard to find a good spot for it in a non-fullsize truck. I had ended up mounting it in a storage cubby, which was rather a pain to accomplish, and took up valuable stick-stuff-somewhere space. I installed the Tow-Pro in conjunction with taking a bunch of my lower dash apart anyway, so I had the advantage of an easy view & working room... which was a great help. Strongly recommend pulling the knee panel and/or glove box, so you don't end up with it zip-tied to the outside of the knee panel or side of the center console, like some installs I've seen... there's room somewhere under your dash! I zipped 2 small screws into a ledge near my fuse box, worked great & has easy access for the vehicle harness & the cable for the button, all hidden by the knee panel. Kudos for using an RJ45 connector for the button. It's compact enough to thread through the stuff under a dash, it's easily replaced, and if you had a really complicated install, you can even make your own custom cable & only need a ~5/16" hole, and crimp a new plug on in place. Only slight criticism is the button assembly ends up being pretty deep (I didn't measure, but I'm thinking close to 1.5") by the time you plug in even a right-angle cable, which didn't matter to me since I'm using a Toyota switch bezel, but is something to consider if you're wanting to mount it in a hole you drilled somewhere in a dash or console... it's not uncommon to not have a ton of depth before hitting something behind a panel... flatter & wider would seem better to me rather than skinny & deep. As far as operation, it does what I need to do (make the occasional trailer I tow with brakes slow me down) just fine... I waffled between this & the Elite, and couldn't see doubling the price for only an improvement in off-road towing... but then, that's not something I do. Almost as importantly, the other 99.9% of the time I'm not towing something with brakes, it does exactly what I want- nothing! My P2 I ended up putting on a removable mount, because any time it was connected, it'd fire itself up with almost no provocation... just opening a door would have it sitting there lighting up for 5 minutes, for some reason. I was considering Tekonsha's dash-knob controller as well, and that was a big negative in its corner for me.

Better than I thought!
I had to replace my old brake control that has been installed on my tow vehicle for 22 years. There's been a lot of water over the dam with brake controllers in that time period. My old controller was radical in design and function and quite honestly I would have replaced it with the same brand if the manufacturer was still in business. I love the way it can mount at any orientation and can be hidden completely from view. No more having to mount it externally on a wall of the dash. I drove the car for a month prior to actually using it and I was a little skeptical how much work I would have to go through to get it adjusted properly. As it ended up I set the initial gain to 6. The first stop was perfect and there seemed to be no learning curve or adjustments needed. So much different from the old pendulum inertial brake controllers I used in the past. I drove a total of 425 miles and I was shocked that I had to make no subsequent adjustments and every application of the brakes was smooth and completely adequate. I knew it was working but never felt that it was slow to react or overzealous in how much assistance was asked of the trailer brakes. My only uncompleted item is the permanent installation of the control button on the dash. I need to find some adequate location that I can access to mount the control/monitor button. I have an older tow vehicle so I ordered the universal wiring harness to connect to my existing factory wiring package. I tow with a 2003 GMC 3/4 ton GMC passenger van. My trailer is a 2004 30' Airstream Classic Slide Out. Tandem axle and on my first trip the trailer was 9,100 lbs with a full 60 gallon fresh water tank.

Hard to install if you don't have a blank switch plate in the dash to use
Giving this 4 stars because the knob is too short for a padded dash and there's no "long stem" option (to my knowledge). It works great, once installed. I installed it on a Tesla Model Y, using the Tesla trailer splice harness, but the Tesla doesn't have a switch blank that you can install it in, so I put it in the dash, which is padded, and the dial stem is way, WAY, too short to go into a padded dash. I ended up drilling a hole that was much larger than what was called for so that I could get more of the dial/knob through the dash (basically half of the dial's bulk) so that the dial would actually be usable. I needed a 1/16th piece of steel to work as a blanking plate to make the whole thing work. The tension between the back of the dash and the steel plate holds everything in place and it works great, but that was a bit more engineering/crafting than I was expecting and now I need to paint match the dash to make the steel plate blend in. I like it, but it was several hours of an install along with a bit of makeshift engineering that I wasn't expecting. Good thing I that steel plate to use, and a string to help me pull the dial through the dash (which is a difficult task in the Model Y since the knee airbags makes it impossible for the layman to remove enough of the dash to easily maneuver the dial into place).

Easy peasy
I haven’t towed with it yet, but install was easy. Tech support sucks because they are in Australia (even though they got a US #). They did call me back at like 6pm eastern time.

I will not get another brand after using this
Very sleek design. Set up was super simple and I love that the knob is basically the size of a penny, not a eye sore like all the older ones that have the big ugly box on the lower trim that you always smash your knee on. The inertia sensing works ok but some slight adjustment is needed but that’s to be expected. Overall the quality matches the cost. This will be the only brake controller I use from now on

Excelente producto.

Fantastic!
I have had this brake controller in my work van for about one year now. We tow a duel wheel (four Brakes) dump trailer. The controller works perfectly and looks factory. Installation was straight forward. I am 100% pleased. Have since purchased a second for another van.

Excellent brake controller
I love how compact this device installs into my Jeep, compared to the usual ugly bulky rectangular box controller that winds up getting in the way of my knee. It operates really well, and give me great confidence while towing our camper. Highly recommended
