can this work on a vehicle with no spare tire? like a kia sportage with no rack or hitch? need a rear carrier bag thats not huge.

What I did is I bought a bed-extender "T" bar for my hitch and was able to secure it tightly using the straps and a length of hook and loop. I have room to add a smaller bag underneath or on top of this bag.
