is there a rockwell hardness?

I have no idea but would think it is fairly hard in order to hold an edge but not so hard that it is difficult to sharpen.

Is it normal to have a stcky film on t the knife after use?

I did not have a sticky film on mine. Also I bought the same one for my father in law and his did not have a sticky film.

What kind of leather is the sheath made of?

This particular one has a VERY NICE heavy duty leather/cowhide one. I've seen ones not nearly as nice for hunting knives sell for well over $50 for the sheath alone
