If you take care of your own bicycle, & have hand set bearings in the hubs, headset, & bottom bracket, you can buy these & upgrade your bike a lot! To facilitate mass production most companies use caged bearings, for instance in the BB they have 7 bearings in a plastic cage, or on better quality one 9 bearings. some even use 10, but if you hand set the bearings you'll find that 11 balls actually fir in the cup. More balls equals more support & tighter tolerances. Additionally, ceramic balls are 5 times rounder, 5 times harder & weigh less than steel bearings! I'm sure you can find a how-to at utoob or whereever!?

I order a 50 package and I received a package with 11 bearings in it. Very disappointing.

used these as agitators on small bottles of paints, they work great.
