Fire-Maple Portable Lightweight Stainless Steel Camping Kettle,1L

I'm impressed with the Fire-Maple company. Shortly after purchasing my 1L Fire-Maple Antarctic tea ketle, the lid slipped into a tiny slot in my camper van and disappeared beyond reach. I contacted Fire-Maple and asked if they'd please send me another lid. Instead, they sent me a new replacement kettle with lid. Such kindness! This is the best camping tea kettle I've ever owned. It's well made--strong; sturdy; with details including a handle that can lock upright during use or lie flat for saving space; the handles hold the lid in place during use; the lid is easily removed when hot; & the spout is designed to pour fast or slow without dripping (it has a well-controlled slow pour into a V-60 coffee cone). I have arthritis, and apppreciate that it's lightweight and easy to grasp and use. It's also easy to towel dry the inside after use, and it stores compactly (but I hang mine on a hook). I'm a van dweller and use this kettle daily to heat water. It heats fast thus conserving fuel. And, it's well-designed to go from conventional cooktop to camp stove to firepit. I will be puchasing all of my camping cookware from Fire-Maple. They're quality products and good folks. P.S. a handy tip: a mason jar lid fits perfectly as a replacement lid for the kettle if needed :)

Great little kettle. My only complaint would be the handle needs a detention so it will stay straight up while heating. It easily falls to one side or the other and gets very hot. I just use a napkin to pick it up by the handle.

Well made and has a nice pour. I’ve tested it with some mini stoves and it boils pretty fast. No complaints.

If you drink tea and use an RV or camper, this is just right. Cons… you have to watch it boil. Pros. 1. Excellent quality materials and work(man?)ship. 2. You can hold the metal handle if you leave it upright while boiling on a camp stovetop. 3. The handle double as a sort of stay for the lid. I reversed it so the hold is on the front of the lid rather than the rear.. seem to work better that way. 4. It’s pours literally perfect. I’m 60+ and have been a tea drinker all my life. I know a good spout - this is the best ever. Yup, that good. 5. It makes just enough water for 4 8oz mugs of tea - perfect. 6. Ok, I don’t really have more to say, but it’s very good.. I’d recommend heartily.

Love this item. Very durable and easy to clean. This is my second kettle and may be my last ( because it works so well). it has been used to boil water over a campfire, sometimes directly on the fire. Been easy to clean the following day and doesn't hold heat in the handle compared to some. I have bought a cook pan from fire maple and also have similar results. Fire Maple has been a good company for me to shop from and worth the pricing. I have cheaper similar items but don't hold up as well.
