recommend this paint
Nice finish, durable once dried/ cured. I would recommend this paint. I dont know what rating options means by sheerness , so I did not rate that one.

LOVE this paint for cabinets
This paint cures like a dream. I built a new house. Didn't like any of the kitchen cabinet colors so I decided I would paint once I moved in. I did tons of research and here is what I learned: If you don't follow the instructions, this paint can turn out like crap. If you follow the instructions, it'll cure hard as nails and last forever. My process: I took all the doors and drawer fronts off and removed the hardware. I degreased both sides and the frames. I sanded by hand. I primed with BM advance primer. I used a velour 4" roller for most of the surface and a 2" brush recommended by the BM store for the corners. I let dry for 24+ hours. I didn't paint every night as I was in school at the time, but even when it was exactly 24 hours between coats, I had no issues sanding in between coats. There was zero sticky residue. (I did this in winter in MD for weather reference) I sanded between coats. Only did one coat primer. It settles very flat and smooth. Basically: sand, paint, sand, paint. No sealer. It says 30 days to a full cure. I was careful not to scratch it during that time. Since then, things like pointy edges have scratched small spots. When I touch up, it smooths right in no issue. My only lesson learned is I wish I had caulked the corners and edges of trim. It has cracked there. I haven't gone back to seal and repaint, but I will. Honestly, I'm the only person who sees the cracks in the seams. LOL Overall, this was a lot of work - I have something like 36 cabinet and drawer fronts... but I LOVE my kitchen. COLORS: The "white" is winds breath - it's a greige white. The turquoise is Bahaman Sea at 150% saturation... or something like that. It's NOT Caribbean Sea - that's on the same color card but slightly more green. To test colors - I bought foam board at the dollar tree. I painted from sample cans and let it hang a couple days to see how the color looked in different light. Good luck!!

Try a different paint
I've used Benjamin Moore products for 20 years, with good results, up until Advance. We refinished a set of kitchen cabinets. We followed every preparation step, despite there being several different versions of what the procedure should be, depending if you read the can, read the online, or watch the video. Our results were substandard in three respects. The drying time is days long. The way you can tell is when you sand between coats, if the finish is not set, it will gum up right away. The benchmark time they give is 16 hours. In dry circulating air, it was closer to 36. The flow out is below average. Flow out the ability to self-level on brush application. We tried the recommended polyester brushes and several different foam rollers, all left a sea of air bubbles. I've used products such as 'Aqua Zar' varnish that has excellent flow out, eliminating all but the most pronounced brush stokes. Finally, the adherence of the paint to the wood is poor. We already have paint rubbing off to bare wood, this after 2 primer coats, and 2 finish coats. I had such high hopes for this product, and now am quite disappointed.

Terrible finish!
Partially painted a set of new wood bookcases with this stuff. After priming, first coat was applied. Abysmal coverage, and the finish didn't level out at all. Brush marks abound. Rollered areas all have an orange peel-like finish. I will have to sand the entire set of bookcases! I expected to have to apply a second coat, but after seeing how the first coat came out, I'm going to switch to Behr semi-gloss. Cheaper and better, in my experience

Levels like no other.
I've been using Advance on a professional level for one year and at this time me and my customers are happy with this paint. I gave up SW Pro Classic for this product. Most painters dislike the extended dry time but this is the reason this paint levels so well and allows the painter more time to work with it. I've brushed interior trim, doors and cabinets with great results.
