NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Ultimate Shadow & Liner Primer, Eyeshadow & Eyeliner Primer - Light

This is the first time I have tried this product and very impressed by it. Great coverage, color is natural for me - just a little lighter than my skin tone, and does not feel drying. It really does a great job of keeping shadow in place with no creasing and also helps reduce wrinkles. Another thing I really like about this primer is, if I don't want to wear eyeshadow, I can use this without it. I find the color brightens my lids while the formula gives them a matte look. This is going to be a permanent item in my cosmetic collection!

So far I have been loving this primer. I have sensitive dry eyes and some products either won't work at all or greatly irritate them causing more issues to the point that I can't wear eyeliner, eyeshadow.... cause it won't stay on. Mixed with oily dehydrated skin especially around my eyes (less in winter but still an issue) so a great eye primer is a must if I want to wear eyeshadow & eyeliner. My makeup usually needs to last over 8 hours as fixing your entire eye makeup is not possible while at work. Great bonus is the price and that you dont need to use a lot of product to see that its working and was a lot cheaper than the previous primer I was using that also did not do as well this one. After day 2 of using this primer it has become a staple for me. It's currently winter where I live so the real test will see how this primer holds up during our hot, humid summers.

It does its job. Eye shadows stay where they suppose too. Unfortunately this product burns my eyes.

A full coverage primer for your eyeshadow that dries quickly makes sure your shadow stays for hours on end. Great product for the price.

Its an allright product. I purchased because i ran out of my urban decay eyeshadow primer. To me it feels heavy and did crease after doing my makeup.

This is the best eyelid primer I’ve ever used! I got the light color which, on its own, really complements my eyes. It also holds powdered shadow so well. I received the tube from the seller on time and in perfect condition! Highly recommend!👍

I can’t speak for how longwearing the product makes my eyeshadows, as I didn’t perform a wear test. However I tested it against the milk makeup hydrogrip eyeshadow primer which I had also recently purchased, and the difference is ridiculous. I put one swipe of each on my arm and blended it out with the included doe foot applicator for both primers. I gave both primers a few minutes to dry down and then using a cotton swab for fairness, applied a loose pigment (pink) and a pressed shadow (purple, to really test them) to each of the patches where primer was applied. The vibrant swatches on the right are the nyx primer, with the patchy/sheer swatches belonging to milk (except the smaller pink swatch, which was no primer). Doing a gentle rub test, the nyx is also the clear winner, with no transfer and no disturbing of the pigment. Rubbing the milk primer caused it to smear slightly. I didn’t feel any burning or stinging from either primer, but this is on my wrist so ymmv. The only negative possible comment I could make is that this could be drying on the skin, so good for oilier eyelids, but it may be an issue for those with dry or mature skin. Save your money and avoid the milk primer (did nothing for my eyeshadow, but was okay for under eye concealer prep).

Brilliant. This is the best eye primer ever. Shadow is not budging an inch until you want to remove it as normal with makeup remover

I wanted to try this one since I heard good things about it, but for me it smudged the makeup after a few hours and I also got a stinging sensation while applying it, something I don't have while using the MAC eye primer (which I went back to after a few tries of the NYX primer). It might be because I use retinol, although not around my eyes.

Love this as it works to make eye make-up last with less smudging or fading
