This acts no different than standard nail polish. Even smells like nail polish. And all for $10. **Q: Is this a good stuff to put on fingernails that are damaged via physical activity, mechanic work, etc.? Can gelatin help?** A: No. It isn’t fixing my split (or even preventing further splitting) and peels off of layering nails. Waste of $10. **Q: Is this removable with regular polish remover?** A: Yes. It is easily removed with nail polish remover. **Q: Can you use this on top of gel polish?** A: I used it on m Essie regular nail polish on my split nail and it worked out wonderfully. They knew it'd be returned. They do not stand by their product. My thumb nail is split at the tip. I've cut it, waited for it to grow, every time it grows out..it's still split. So I tried this, it doesn't do a think except polish. I figured it would be like a glue and would hold the nail tip together by brushing it on the top and underside. NOPE!!!
