Will this work as 4k@60hz hdmi adapter for a 2017 mac book 12?

this adapter does NOT have HDMI (which would only go up to 4k@30Hz). It has full size Display Port (not mini-display port), and this one does support 4k@60Hz. I use it with brand new mbp 2017.
Note that ethernet is only 100Mbps - not 1Gbgps, and USBs are 2.0 - not 3.0. Could be explained by usb-c v1 only having 5gbps bandwidth, most of which goes to the display.

Can you plug in a gigabit ethernet adapter to the usb 2.0 ports and get close to the 480mbps of usb 2.0?

Built in adapter is a USB 10/100 LAN device. When I connect external USB3 10/100/1000 LAN device through this hub, I get 250mbps from my NAS. I don't have faster devices on the network to test against.

When not connecting the usb-c port as pd, can it be used to connect a usb 3.1/3.0 compatible external ssd?
