I love this mug. I bought it because I sometimes stop for a "cappuccino" at a local gas station, and my old coffee mug wouldn't fit under the spout. I wanted something a little smaller. The lid is leakproof when closed (obviously, not when open) although I rarely close it. It keeps my coffee hot for a couple of hours, which is long enough for me to drink it. It fits under all coffee makers. It's easy to clean (I put the lid in the dishwasher now and then). I love the color. It's well-made, and the handle turns out to be useful. I like that the company is about more than just making a profit. They want to do their part to save the world, and I'm all for that. I just wish I needed more of their products! No complaints. This is a great mug.

I bought this item because I had a Starbucks coffee flask that kept leaking when I transported it between home and work. I got this because I liked the carrying handle (although I was worried if it was cheaply made, it would break), and I liked the promise of the double walled insulated steel keeping my hot items hot for 12 hours. One thing that worried me was I couldn't find a picture of the inside of the lid. The lid of my Starbucks flask was very bulky and had little nooks that was pretty impossible for me to clean well, and being able to clean my cup lids thoroughly is really important to me. I was estatic to see that the GreenSteel lid is of a very simple, everything-accessible design. However, I think the bulkiness of that Starbucks lid is what helped to keep my coffee hot longer. This GreenSteel lid itself isnt insulated, so in my experience, especially when I leave the sip hole open, my coffee doesn't stay piping hot for 12 hours. Its the steel cup itself that does hold the heat (and cold) pretty well. So of you want to keep your coffee piping hot for hours, you may have to keep securing the sip hole (I haven't tried to see if that keeps it hot for hours, I just tend to drink my hot coffee within a couple of hours). The steel cup is surprisingly lightweight, so the 12oz is not cumbersome to carry around at all. I like this cup so much, I been using it to drink ice water with my meals (cover off), since it keeps the ice longer than regular cups. This is a well-made cup. No off tastes or odors. My only moment of slight dismay was when I filling my coffee very close to the top and screwing on the lid, it would spill over because its too full. So I just have to get used to not filling it up to the top, I have to leave 1 inch or slightly more od space due to how the lid is made to screw into the cup, where the threads go maybe an inch down the inside of the cup. However, I love how it seals great and again, love the handle and the simplicity of the lid which allows for thorough cleaning, but probably doesn't trap heat for tok many hours

This coffee mug is just the best thing for me. I usullay drink a 10 0z coffee and I had to work at sipping my 10 oncces through my 16 oz cup. This is a much better size for my needs and it stayed hot for at least 3 hrs. I am a kidney Dialysis patient. The need to control the amount of fluid we drink is very important. I love, love, love this cup and wish I could pass one out to every patient at my dialysis center. It doesn't leak and the handle is perfect for carrying. Now I want one in every color.

This is a great size. It doesn’t leak which is important. The coffee does not take on a metal taste, and drinking out of the lid is fine. It does not keep the coffee as hot as I would like because the lid is not insulated. It’s okay for about an hour but not longer.

I travel alot for work this is my 2nd time purchasing it. This cuz is amazing I've thrown it in my luggage full it never leaks. It can take a beating keeps my drink hot for hours and my drinks very cold. I use it mostly for my tea and coffee. I fill it up with coffee at the hotel and hang it on my carry on luggage with a carabiner or if im running late I just throw it inside my backpack not really sitting it upright becasue well it does what it says it never leaks ! Its super durable last time I bought one was 2 years ago I bought another becasue my dad really liked it and took it to use for work and wont give it back haha he does construction and also he actually throws it around alot but it never leaks. Its gotten scratched up but hasn't dented. Great value for what you are paying for its a 12oz or 16oz but its a powerful little cup ! Doesmt change the color Handle has held up very well also when i opened the cup there was no weird smell it doesn't change the taste overall great cup I got the smaller size this time the16oz I purchased first and the 12 oz it looks so small but it does hold the 12 oz the first ridge on the bottom when you screw it closed that is the line so you know where to stop for the 12oz for the price its really great and this handle works so much better for me than the traditional ones it also fits in the cup holders in your car

Truly excellent travel mug. Have used it pretty much daily since I bought it over three years ago and it is still going strong. Thoroughly deserving of a great review and 5 stars. Easily keeps drinks hot for 3-4 hours (and even longer depending on the temperature of the environment you’re using it - obviously less time on a cold winter morning walk than sitting on a desk at the office or home but that’s by the by). Initially liquids can be too hot to even drink! But that works for me since I like my hot drinks as hot as possible. No heat transfer from the metal body at all, so no risk of burning hands or losing heat from there. Some heat loss from the lid but that’s fair since it is (heavy duty) plastic. 100% leak proof, have never had a problem with leaks, just remember to close the drinking spout when you’re finished drinking! More often than not I have it rolling around on my car passenger seat (with hot drinks in it!) and it hasn’t let me down once. That being said, you have to make sure when screwing the lid on that the threads match and it screws on fully, right into the rubber seal. Have noticed if other people fill and close the mug it isn’t always 100% aligned which would cause leaks and heat loss. Just be mindful when closing and this isn’t an issue. Comfortable to drink from, be aware of the level of heat the drinks retain though - always hotter than you think, and a little hot steam can pop out of the air vent, but nothing serious to worry about there. Easy to clean - just pop it in the top level of the dishwasher. No fiddly parts that can’t be accessed for cleaning (which would inevitably gather mould etc). Really simple design which in this case means it functions exceptionally well. I always open the drinking spout before washing to make sure everything gets cleaned in the seal. Comes out perfect every time. Love the small, pop out carry handle - very handy when you have lots to carry, use it daily and it is very robust. Don’t ever use the handle to unscrew the mug however - can imagine it wouldn’t stand up to that for long. Sometimes find it tricky to unscrew after use. Almost impossible to unscrew when the contents are hot - which only means the seal is excellent. Helps if the drinking spout is open before attempting to unscrew to release any pressure that’s built up. I am petite (though strong) so my hands aren’t big - imagine this would be easier with bigger hands! Doesn’t hold tastes too badly - I only use it for milky breakfast tea however so can’t comment on taste retention if using it for something different everyday. It has had coffee in it for a friend before but after a run in the dishwasher it was perfect for tea again. Very robust - have (luckily) only dropped it badly once onto tarmac and it only took one small dent in the base. Design is very simple - I chose the stainless steel finish and it is brilliant. Sleek, professional and understated - does for any environment. Would happily take it anywhere I’m going. The body can mark fairly easily with drips etc but comes up clean and perfect after a wash. Exceptional product for the price, I am still so happy with it all this time later - so happy I’ve come to review! Love a product that is functional, robust and lasts - this travel mug ticks all three incredibly well.

Solo les recomiendo que cuando esté muy caliente y quieran abrir la tapa, intenten no hacer la fuerza desde la agarradera. Porque se puede salir. Aún así y con eso, me sigue funcionando de maravilla.
