Lodge Cast Iron Pizza Pan, 15 inch

I’ve used pizza stones for many years to great effect, however I’m a fan of cast iron cookware and wanted to give this a go. It took only a week to arrive from the US with tracking info all the way. Put to use straight away, heated to 220 deg c fan, a little olive oil to coat the surface as well as semolina to aid handling. The pan cooked to perfection, lovely puffy crusts and a well done base. Cleaning was easy with normal methods (only thing is you can boil off stubborn burnt food like a skillet), and re-seasoned with the Lodge spray. Highly recommended !

Great quality indeed, I was concerned about quality while ordering but when it arrived I had a big smile in my face. Just what I was looking for. I have not used it yet but definitely looking forward to it. The Size, weight of cast Iron made, are just how the seller has described.

Loving this pizza pan as an upgrade to my dosa pan! I was using a Lodge 10" pan with a ledge for making dosas the last 10 years or so. Came across this beauty on Amazon - and thought I'd check it out. Amazing dosas - double the amount of batter from my 10" pan, thin and crispy, evenly roasted to the edges for a crispy crust. Not having a ledge makes it easier to detach the crepe from the pan after it's done. Use the widest burner available to you - it will make the heat distribution more even. Yes, I know the pan says not meant for stovetop use, but it worked beautifully on it. Love the professional appearance and the pre-seasoned coating that made it super easy to get the dosas off.

vraiment lourd mais c'est ce qui le rend qualitatif et fait que la chaleur se propage d'une manière homogène. par ailleurs, le cullotage est nécessaire car risque de rouille et que la nourriture accroche , moi j'ai pas ces problème car après chaque utilisation je rince avec de l'eau claire puis je remets sur le feu pour sécher en remettant de l'huile à la fin quand c'est bien chaud et sec puis je range et à la prochaine utilisation je remets sur le feu en remettant de l'huile et en essuyant avec un torchon propre .

Après avoir culotté (seasoning) la plaques pour la rendre « anti adhésive » c’est un charme rien ne colle et la chaleur de la fonte fait une croûte croustillante et parfaite.
