Gorgeous patio table but assembly not simple!
The table is very sturdy. Itโs really pretty. The leaf insert is a nice option and hides inside the middle section when not in use. It took us just under 2 hours using a power drill with an allen wrench type bit attachment. The pre-drilled holes aligned well. We didnโt have any issues. We used the provided allen keys to tighten the bolts but otherwise, used the drill. There are a bunch of parts and I recommend that two people do the assembly. Itโs a lovely walnut color. It has a strong varnish odor so itโs sitting outside on the patio. Weโll be using it inside in the dining area once the odor subsides. I donโt think thatโll take very long in the hot South Texas sun! This is a bargain! Iโve looked at tables for a while. This is by far the best value. Iโm giving the ease of assembly 3 stars simply because I donโt think assembling this table with the provided allen key is practical or reasonable. It really takes 2 people and a drill. Iโm happy with my purchase! Update 06/24/21: the table has been outside exactly 2 weeks and the smell of varnish has completely dissipated in the hot Texas sun. Itโs coming inside today. The finish is also improved tremendously. It was slightly tacky right out of the box but is satin smooth now. Love It!!!!! Update 12/12/2023: Additional info. The hole for the umbrella is only available with the leaf inserted. The table seats 4 comfortably without the leaf since the ends are flush with the supports when the leaf is not in use. It will seat 8 comfortably with the leaf inserted. We use the table indoors so no idea how it would hold up outside. This table doesnโt fold once itโs assembled. It expands easily and one person can do it without help. It also is just narrow enough to fit through a standard sliding glass door without having to tip it over when transporting it from the dining room to the patio. Once assembled, itโs very sturdy with no wobble after 3 years of daily use.

Great table for a very good price
Although this had one small crack in the middle foldable table piece, I still rated this a 5. It looks great, it expands very easily, it is very solidly built. I notified the Walker Edison company about the cracked wood and they immediately replaced the part. It was not the easiest furniture I have ever put together, but with some attention to detail and reading the instructions carefully, there was not problems. I use this as my main dining table in the house. Everybody loves it.

Seems to be pretty good quality so far
It took several hours to put together but it was fairly easy. Some of the pieces were a bit warped which made it tricky. So far (about one month in), it has been great and it looks wonderful too. I applied teak oil as recommended in the instructions. Note: if youโre using an umbrella in the center, you have to have the table fully extended. You canโt use the umbrella if you have collapsed it down to the smaller size.

Great table with the look of teak
Beautiful table, heavy and sturdy. I leave it at full length so canโt comment on how it folds. The crossbars that connect the two ends (that have an umbrella hole) are thankfully about a foot higher than they showed in their photos when I bought it - a big design improvement - but I see the new photos in the ad show the raised bars. They are not at foot level anymore. There was one hole that wasnโt pre-drilled, so a little extra work, but not a big deal. The chairs I have with it are teak and the table matches well. Itโs in the full Florida sun, so hoping it holds up well, but initial quality is good. Definitely seems worth the price, Iโm very happy with it.

Poor Quality Wood! Must Restore/Maintain it like using indoor wood furniture outdoor!
Pictures taken just about 15 months in. The discoloration is not the issue, the quality of wood is so poor that the top planks bend and crack beyond repair/restore. While our other outdoor furnitures at similar price point also made with Acacia wood held up a simple clean and oil is able to restore it but not this. The wood are so bent that the table can no longer be expanded. If you want this to be functional and expandable expects to clean/oil/restore every few months or have it stored indoor and/or covered. But frankly with this amount of maintenance require any type of indoor wood furniture will do just fine outdoor. As our last resort before tossing it out we emailed Edison Walker they blamed it on maintenance and replied with a standard protocol for care. Our other outdoor furnitures at similar budget held up just fine, we will be sure to avoid this brand when we look for a replacement. It is also true that this came in hundreds of pieces and also took us 2hours to put together. It should have been a red flag at that point. But now we can fully see how it is poorly designed because with the poor quality of wood, bends and cracks are inevitable and with just a small bend the pieces wonโt fit together. And that is exactly why the table can no longer be fitted with the expandable part (see photos).

trouble is worth it
I am in love with my table. I bought a set of four teak folding chairs and they match well enough. I gave it five stars even though I have valid assembly concerns because I do like the table that much. The wrenches supplied wore down fast and kept slipping as I tried to use them. Fortunately, I had a couple of my own saved in a toolbox. The assembly directions are not entirely clear as to which hole patterns on on either side of the wood go in which direction. If you don't lay the whole assembly out you may not realize which side of a piece faces which direction until later and then you'll have to undo and redo your work. It took me about six hours working alone to put this table together by myself. I treated it with teak oil and it's not hard to keep clean. If you have birds leaving their mark on things, you might want to pick up a cheap vinyl tablecloth to put over it if you leave it outside - some sections of the wood grain can hold on to liquid as you clean.

You get what you pay for
The instructions were fine but I had to re-drill every hole for the clips as they had been pre-drilled incorrectly. When you pull it apart to extend the leaf, the two end pieces are very loose and rickety is the best word I can come up with, but when fastened together everything feels solid until you go to move it (with leaf folded in), donโt lift it by the table top, the base is heavier so youโll end up breaking the pins keeping the two parts of the table top together. It also would have been nice to have plugs for the holes for the large inset nail heads that are everywhere and makes the table look unfinished. Iโll look for something in Loweโs The table is actually narrower than I originally thought and had measured the space for (thatโs on me) I canโt tuck my the chairs under the table when not in use because itโs lower than my last patio table (I assumed tables had a standard height) and the ends of the table can only be used when extended, so think seating arrangements for 4 or for 8 Either way, while Iโve been liberal with the tung oil, and will re oil often, I expect it wonโt weather in Florida well under a screen for more than a couple of years, since the wood pieces arenโt very thick or substantial. Itโs a relatively cheap table in the grand scheme of things, but it looks pretty good right now and doesnโt take up a lot of space. since it was on sale for less than $250 Iโm really glad I didnโt pay full price.

Read directions ahead of time
This table was pretty straight forward to put together. I did find it doesn't specify what sides face which ways. This is important for 2 pieces. 1. the leg assemblies - the screw holes on opposing sides must match up accordingly or you will find yourself disassembling later on to correct and 2. The center piece with 1 tiny screw hole that fastens to the center insert - if it is in backwards you will have to disassemble a large portion of the table at the end to correct. I wish I could provide specifics and photos to assist but I am writing this review some time after I assembled. Most of all, take your time, don't tighten parts until you are sure you have things together (made it easier when I had to correct parts), and enjoy your awesome table! Over all, the table went together easily and is sturdy. Most importantly, Looks amazing. I purchased the chevron chairs and bench to go with it!

Well made
Took awhile to assemble. After the teak oil application, the richness of the wood was enhanced. With the extra leaf incorporated into the table, extending the table is very simple.

We got it put together and it looks great but it was not easy.
I really like that the table folds out to give additional dinning space!

Beautiful, but required customer adjustments
The table is beautiful. It only got 4 stars and not 5 because the manufacturing was off and the two sides of the table didn't meet in the middle. We managed to adjust it on our own fairly painlessly, and of course Amazon was amazing to deal with and gave us 20% back for the trouble.

Disappointed .. not the quality as expected.
My husband is building the table as I am writing this review. The holes are not lined up so he has been using his drill. Frame is quite weak and wonders about the quality of the table in general.
