Quality & Value!!
I bought these as an attempt to match a set I bought from Home Depot that are no longer available. Because these curtain rods were only $28.00 each, they cost $20.00 less than the ones I had bought at Home Depot (2) years ago! I bought the 1 inch Single Window Treatment Rod Set, 72-144 inch length, in Antique Silver. I bought them to slide directly through the curtain heading (not eyelet or tab heading) and they are perfect! They look better in person than they do online because online they look plastic or slightly cheap. In person, they look great and I love the rod bracket too because it is almost decoration in itself. This set comes with 3 rods, you can use 2 or 3 depending on the length of windows you need to cover. I didn't need to use all three, but I rather have the extra distance if I want to expand or need to cover a longer window area in the future. This set includes (3) rod brackets (1 for each end and 1 for the middle support) and I did use all three brackets although because I only used 2 rods, I think I could have just used the (2) end brackets... I cannot speak to the hardware provided because I chose to use "EZ Anchors" which you drill right into the wall with a Phillip's drill bit (that right! No more pre-drilling for drywall anchors!) and then use the same drill bit to install the screw into the anchor. Again, at $28.00, I think these are an excellent buy, and I will definitely be buying them again!

It looks nice. The rod feels fairly solid
It looks nice. The rod feels fairly solid. Minor issue is that the mounting hardware feels cheap. What I mean is that it is extremely light weight. I'm not sure what material it is. It looks like metal but feels like hollow aluminum from its weight. I didn't try to cut it open to see what was under the paint/coating.Though I did attempt to slowly apply pressure to it to see if it would bend but it held up to a little bit of pressure (i was aiming for the stress a toddler would put on it from hanging on the drapes....). Even though it didn't bend, it feels cheap but at least it looks nice. Major issue was the holes for the screws. the bottom screw is placed nicely. the top screw is placed in such a spot that you cannot drill it in straight....this means that if you need to use a molly, you need to make sure that when you pre-drill the hole to place the molly, you account for the angle.......which is annoying. It would help a lot if they adjusted the design to allow the top hole to be raised a little bit more so drilling it in becomes easier......I got it in but anyone new to mounting hardware will struggle and may mess up horribly.... I was going to rate it 3 stars (losing 1 for the cheap feel and one for the bad top hole placement) but overall but it does look nice, held up to some stress and they included the mollys needed if you aren't lucky enough to mount it on studs.

Great, no problem with screws.
So, I can see why people might worry about tightening the top screw based on the design for the hooks, but I used a regular screwdriver and had NO problem with these at all. maybe if your screwdriver shaft was over 1/2" thick you;d have a problem? Of if you try to use an electric driver without an extender? I don't know, it was fine, just screw it in... The pole is thin but very sturdy. It's three rods, two outer rods and an inner rod between them that slides in. It's a loose fit, but a little friction tape around the inner pole helped solve that, and honestly if you're using all three hooks for support those have tighteners and can hold it in place too. It looks great and works great, and was easy and straight-forward to install. 5-stars.

Looks good over the windows and the curtains hang nicely over the window. Easy to mount on the wall.

Unreliable vendor, this item frequently 'disappers' during shipping
Very cheaply made, unreliable vendor. Tubing = steel (not stainless) Screws = steel (not stainless) Bracket = Aluminum First order arrived, however, our second order was 'delayed due to weather' and did not arrive. We have only received half of our purchase so far. We had to cancel the half that didn't show up, and then re-order it in hopes it would actually arrive this time. Fingers crossed. The TUBING IS CONSTRUCTED OF STEEL (approx. 1/2mm thick). The inner tubing does not 'lock' into place (i.e. twist lock), and it slides freely until fastened into place with the bracket screws. This is DANGEROUS because the inner tubing (made of steel) can slide out while handling the product during the mounting process. If this were to occur, it would easily pass through a glass window, break a television screen, puncture drywall, etc. If it were slide out and strike a person, it could cause some pretty serious injury. Be careful when handling this product. The inner surfaces (inside of the tubing) is NOT MOISTURE RESISTANT and some oxidation (rust) is already present within the tubing when it comes out of the box. This is normal for steel tubing that is not coated, but be aware that if you intend to use these outdoors, or in a humid environment, they will rust if you do not regularly coat them against moisture (i.e. wax, silicone, clear coat, etc.). Personally, I coated the inside of the tubing with silicone spray to help with moisture resistance, but this will have to be re-applied periodically or the steel will decay. Because these are load bearing, any rust would rapidly degrade the load bearing capacity of these rods. The BRACKETS ARE MADE OF ALUMINUM and the SCREWS ARE MADE OF STEEL (the screws that come with this product are not stainless steel and they will rust in a moist or humid environment). The screws that are used to secure the rod within the bracket (the set screws) are also made of steel (not stainless steel) and they will rust in a moist or humid environment. Personally, I replaced the steel screws that came with the product with some stainless steel screws (#10 stainless, pan head) I picked up from the hardware store. I also recommend replacing the set screws with stainless steel. The set screws do not hold the rods very securely into the bracket, due to their small size, but they do work. The screws will 'bite' into the surface of the rod (which breaks the paint on the surface)...just something to be aware of. The rods look nice once they're up, but they won't stay nice (especially outdoors) without regular maintenance. The outdoor curtains we hung on them slide freely, but they do catch on the joint between the inner and outer tubing because the plastic shim used at the joint is too thin to properly ramp the joint. In my opinion, these rods are not well suited for outdoor use and will decay rapidly if used outdoors without regularly applying a moisture resistance coating of some kind (i.e. wax, silicone, clear coat, etc.). They are very cheaply constructed and may not withstand heavy duty or extended use. For light-duty or use indoors, they're okay and they don't look bad. TIP: I hung the top hooks facing up and the bottom hooks facing down. This method of mounting pulls the rods into the brackets when the wind catches the outdoor curtain. We found it to be much more secure this way.
