Portable Trailer Winch, Reversible Electric Winch 12V DC, Power-in, Power-out and Freewheel Operations for Boats 2000 lbs with Wireless Remote Control and Hand Crank

The main gear attached to shaft is cheap, it stripped out and will no longer tighten and hold the boat secure to the trailer winch post. Worked 3 times before it failed. Had to weld the gear to the shaft but not sure how long it will hold. Total waste of time and money. I was going after the wireless remote control which would have worked perfectly if the internal parts held up. Didn't persue the two year warranty as we have never had good responses from anything overseas.

It makes it easier to raise up a heavy antenna setup that's hard to raise hand by hand. So I got this and rigged this up permanently just for the antenna setup to go up and down by power,heck more safer thelan by hand. Was a awesome ideal to use this for that.

Do not waste your money on this Item. The winch is poorly made and has no where close to 2000 lb pulling power. I bought this to load my 17 Aluminum open boat onto my bunk trailer with rollers installed on the bunks for easier loading. The trailer and boat combined weighs 1800 lbs on the scale. So the boat weighs about 1100 at the most. The winch overheats and cuts out 4 times when loading the boat. It has a breaker internally that has to reset itself (about one minute) before you can resume. The boat ramp was almost level to water when backed in so steep has nothing to do with the pull. I returned mine after two uses because it is nowhere close to the rated pulling power. The very short battery cable is about 16 ga wire and will never reach the vehicle battery. Real junk stay away from this one.

It will pull my electric wheel chair {250 pounds} up an 8 foot ramp into a pickup bed. Thats all I needed it for.

Works good. Saved me 2 times allready.

Remote battery only good for one trip

Motor power does not handle anywhere near max load. I mounted on a crane and use to hoist a 400 lb inflatable dinghy from the water 4' up to a dock. The winch is powered with a new, fully charged, marine-grade 12v battery. At about 2' out of water the motor slows to a stall. I have to lift the 20 hp outboard (120 lbs) out first, and then I hoist the empty raft (280 lbs) up separately. I previously had a winch motor, with same setup, rated for less weight, that lifted the boat and motor out effortlessly. Unfortunately it eventually corroded in salt air and died. In my experience this motor is not adequate for the ratings listed. Also, the rope cable is very poor quality and after 3 months is already rusting. I will explore other options, but this was a disappointment.

i like it better than my old one. and the old one was fine,. some body like it more than me they took it. haha but they didnt get the wires ,.
