There are no issues with ours as far as scratches or cracks as mentioned in some of the other reviews so don't let that deter you from trying it. I bought the small size and this is still huge, perfect for my parakeets. The only issue is that when I attach it to the outside of the cage, I have to use a little twist tie to keep the door from sliding down. But that is a very simple fix and no significant issue in my eyes. It comes with 2 additional hooks that can be used on the back of it if you want to hook it on the inside of the cage which can pretty much be done anywhere. I also put water in the beginning but its a bit small, so its not really good for bathing (it definitely my fault i got a small size tho) so if you do decide to get this always get a size up! So because of that, the bathing box was turned it into a foraging one! I haven't had it for more then a day but it seems easy to clean and it was pretty easy to build with some-what long nails, and it looks like shes in a force field that's protecting her, it looks cool lol!
