Works so well that I bought a second one
This litter box is brilliant. We bought a more fancy model to start with from rival brand PetKit which yes has nice features such as an app and automatic weighing of the cats, but when cleaning time comes around every fortnight it's such it's a massive pain to clean! In contract this PetSafe model is lighter (big bonus feature) and soooo easy to clean, plus it doesn't need to be cleaned so frequently. (Plus it's half the price!) I found that after 40 uses, as indicated by the really helpful counter, fresh crystals are needed, which is easy peasy due to the deceptively simple design. I do however have to scoop the poo compartment every so often otherwise it fills up, and one improvement would be to include some sort of deodoriser as the poos do smell - some worse than others! I actually place a rival PetKit odour eliminator in the poo compartment and replace it about once a month - does the trick! The raking mechanism is pretty basic but also pretty foolproof. We've had our first one of these litter boxes for over 6 months and have had no issues at all. It is however rather noisy so that takes a bit of getting used to. I would highly recommend these, they're great!

Do not bother. Smelly, unhygienic and expensive.
We’ve given this a real go with 6 months of use. Our two cats got used to using it but I’ve noticed their hesitance (sticking their heads in and walking back and forth to it) it just isn’t clean no matter how much you try to keep it and they know it. I’ve been cleaning it every other week fully with fresh crystals and cleaning the individual components thoroughly - it still smells quickly afterwards once used. I even wipe the inside hood each day and key areas with proper cleaner thoroughly too. Ultimately your cats go all over your house, you cuddle them and it smells they can smell bad too. I’ve decided to switch back to our old litter tray and litter. It’s more daily cleaning that way but better all round. It does save a bit of hassle day-to-day but ultimately it’s gross and needs a good deep clean regularly so you make up the time. It’s hard to admit as it’s so flipping expensive! It’s also worth noting you cannot buy the reusable trays in the UK unless you pay over the odds (£120 I paid) for one from the US via eBay. I wrote to PetSafe and asked how I can get one - saves money and the planet - they rarely sell them and couldn’t say when or how I could being in the UK. So factor that in when buying it; you will be trapped into buying the crystals with the boxes. Which are convenient but expensive and are just landfill.

Works well but expensive
These are great self scooping systems, theyre large but don't take up as much space as a robot litter tray and save you scooping every day, which was the main selling piunt. However the overall cost adds up very quickly and they can be a little noisy but easy enough to get used to, we keep one in the bedroom and it doesn't wake us up. The disposable litter trays are hard to get hold of and extortionately expensive, we bought a metal reusable tray for each of ours but they cost an absolute fortune, just to get the correct measurements to fit, after trying anywhere to find one the right size of a cheaper version. Have tried a few litters with it too and the petsafe crystal litter is the best one for odour, noise and tracking, other crystal litter can be very noisy with it as the particles are often larger the grill scrapes it along the bottom of the tray. Though we did try a crystal litter that was like sand that was almost silent, it just tracked like crazy on the cats paws and was EVERYWHERE. Does the job but if you have the space and the funds, a litter robot might be better in the long run

Works great, once the poo has been pushed into the containment bit hides most of the smell.
Works great, really impressed. All 3 of my cats use it not problems, even our fussy old girl who only uses a conventional litter tray once before it being too dirty will use it multiple times. When it was just her using it, it lasted just under a week now with all 3 it lasts about 3 days. Which does make it quite expensive. Cleaning the litter is easy, just lift it, put the lid on and put it in a bin bag. The problem is cleaning the mechanism that moves the poo. We’ve also had issue with our kitten (who’s actually 3 now) pressing the button, pooping behind the rake as it’s clearing the litter and watching he freshly laid poop get smooshed up the side as the rake returns. Getting a lid resolved this for us and left us with a slightly less entertained cat. Apart from that our cats are happy with it.

Works, but expensive & can be messy
The product does work overall and does have less odour than a normal litter box (at least while the tray is new). It's straightforward to set up & easy to replace the trays. However, the trays are expensive (£52 for 3, which has gone up quite a bit since I bought it) and they don't last anything like what they claim; "Leave it, self-cleans for weeks" and "up to 30 days for one cat"; I have two cats and typically the trays last 5-6 days. Either my cats have an unprecedented level of poo production or something about the estimates here is badly wrong. Needless to say, this gets pretty expensive and you have to have these getting delivered every few weeks to keep up. The rake also gets pretty mucky (probably inevitable with this design) and sometimes it picks up poo which then needs cleaning, so it isn't quite as out of sight, out of mind as you'd like. Apart from those drawbacks it does work - but there are better options out there (admittedly considerably more expensive, but in the long run the trays for this will run up quite the bill).

Brilliant fantastic
Brilliant fantastic this was the second as the first arrived broken returned and replaced with with no worries Was a little sceptical about this litter box self cleaning etc and worried about cat usage or not using 🤔 but no problem at all with changing over from one to the other he's taken to it like a duck to water its been amazing the smell is gone and the dust has gone and its helped me with my allergy 😀 so worth ever penny spent and yes it's a large amount for a cat litter box but I can honestly say I don't regret it 😊 and my Canadian sphynx Rodney loves his new litter box too x 😊

Brand new. By the end of the 4th day the smell was unbearably pungent, even though I removed all the kitty poop on the 3rd day due to the unexpected bad smell already coming from the litter tray. I didn’t make any modifications to the instructions or setup. machine raked litter and displayed the count as was advertised. I only have 1 small young (approximately 2 years old), healthy cat in a medium sized apartment, and she has 2 litters which she uses approximately equally (it varies a little). There was no change to her diet or health, nor there were any changes in odour during that 4 day time period her with usual clumping litter in the other litter tray. I am mindful to feed her food that doesn’t create additional unpleasant smells upon toileting. No return available. Wasted a lot of money for something that a simple plastic litter tray with clumping litter outperforms by a long shot. So disappointed and upset to say the least. I’d probably feel less disappointed, annoyed, and embarrassed (that I spent so much money on something that a $20 plastic box and <$10 of clumping litter outperforms) if I had simply flushed all of that money (about $600 AUD) straight down the toilet. I have 2 disposable replacement trays I ordered with it (additional cost) so am using those along with other (external) odour control so they are not completely wasted, although I suspect it still won’t last more than a few days again. I’d give it 0 stars if that was possible.
