Normal operating range is 100 to 150 degrees. Preferences can certainly vary. There is a controller on the front.

Does this get the stones up to 120 degrees?

Wife used these to provide hot stone therapy to patients. She no longer uses because the stones get too hot beyond 120 degrees even on lowest setting. The stone can be cooled after warming, but beware placing immediately on skin after immersion.
