Will this blade cut metal?** A: It might work, but i would most likely be the last time you'd be able to use it, and I wouldn't try it. Diamond blades/bits can only withstand so much heat before they "deteriorate". That's why many blades and bits recommend you use them wet (some are approved for dry). The water helps to keep the bits/blades cool to prolong the life of them.Also, this wheel is more expensive than a normal cutting/grinding wheel. It's safer to and more effective to use them instead. **Q: Can this blade, eith a 7/8" arbor be used with the d28402 grinder which has a 5/8" arbor?** A: It should work, you will need a washer for the difference in size of dia. from 5/8 to 7/8. If you don't have the correct size washer go to a box store they should have replacement parts for your grinder. I'm not sure "washer" is the correct name for the part. it will cost you under $5.00 **Q: Will this blade cut granite,corian,marble and ceramic tile?** A: Since I didn't see it mentioned explicitly, let me say that this blade will cut 1/4 inch porcelain floor tile. This stuff is way harder to cut than regular glazed ceramic tile, but the blade worked well on it. Make sure you use eye protection since it will send porcelain chips (like pieces of glass) ricocheting in every direction. **Q: will it cut threw I beams** A: I work for a plumbing company and we came across a pipe (underground in a tight spot) where we had to cut an 8" diameter steel pipe, which was 1/2" thick!!!!, and we used a diamond blade......it WILL cut it.
