These are packaged as clayton brand discs, not mirka. can anyone -- specifically mirka -- confirm that these are actually mirka brand discs?

Mine showed up the same way - Clayton branded box, NSN 20201012. Back side of disks are printed “Mirka Abranet P320”. Disks visually appear to be the real thing and physically feel like the real thing. No other packaging inside the Clayton box or inside the Amazon bag. I almost returned mine before reading this about non-OEM packaging.

Are these discs good for drywall/mud sanding? Tired of all the dust and clogging as well as short lived typical sanding discs.

The Mirka Abranet sanding discs will last longer than regular paper. They won't load up with dry material, but if the material is damp or something like paint or lacquer they will load up quickly just like paper. If they do load up then many times I just peal them off of the hooks and usually the material will drop off. It also depends on the grit. Finer grits will load up quicker than coarser grits. Overall I find them to be much better than paper and I use nothing else.
