+++LED SET UP+++Before my review, if you're looking for how to make the LEDs light up on contact instead of being on at all times, you have to swap the yellow and black cable on the ACTUAL red connector that connects to the PCB. By default, the yellow cable is in the middle of the three, this will keep the LEDs on at all times. If you swap the yellow and black cables so the black cable is in the middle, the LEDs will only turn on touch. I attached pictures of the set up.This kit is pretty great. I used this for my first fight stick build and I'm pretty happy with it for the price. The gate is probably one of the hardest to take off and the cables are difficult to take off after you plug them into the buttons (make sure you see the layout for the cable installation!). However, this was very easy to set up once you got one of the buttons down. Plug and play, no extra drivers needed for your computer.The LEDs are bright, which I think is perfect, and the joystick feels fine. Mine came with a 4 way gate instead of an 8 way, so your luck may vary on what you get. The buttons are very responsive, although they don't click on press like you'd expect. They're more on the silent side, but you'll get feedback if you press heavily (like with any button).All in all, for a first build, this is a fantastic kit for the price. I'm glad I bought this for my first build.

These controls are VERY ideal for basic game play and functionality for your mame set up! I have been playing with them for awhile and I love the response with the usb encoder given in the package which offers really smooth inputs! The buttons light up on contact, which i think is pretty cool besides having the lit up constantly, which is possible, but some tweaking would be involved. All in all; you cannot beat the price, and customer service is VERY willing and open to help you if you have problems connecting the wires, or if something doesn't work they will get you what you need to make sure you can start gaming soon as possible! I appreciate the excellent customer service and value, will be buying from these guys again soon!

These buttons are really good. Lighting up when you push them is a nice feature for retro arcade cabinets. You can also add your own vinyl decals to the buttons if you want, as they are able to be popped apart to accommodate.

works perfect! only thing though is it has a square restrictive plate so make hadukens and shoryukens very hard to pull off. Got this for a RetroPie build, so far only installed in a test shoebox but I verified all the buttons work and register as joystick buttons. Zero problems but you have to google the instructions for connecting harnesses.

No instructions. Half of the buttons are wired correctly and half are wired backwards (Yellow/Red switched) within the buttons/switches themselves. They’re nice when wired up correctly, but it’s just too much work, especially if you want them to light up constantly, not just when you depress the button.

Even without instructions: It was very easy to set up.
