is this broiler safe?

From my experience, I would say no. I used my dish only twice - once at 350 degrees to bake a blueberry cobbler and once to bake cod filets at 375. When I opened the oven door to take the fish out, I saw with amazement that the dish had cleanly split in two right down the middle! I did get my money back, but I was very surprised that a CorningWare product would do this. For a broiler-safe dish, consider the HIC Rectangular Baking Dish (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0020KQ2Z0/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It's a bit pricey but definitely worth it. I use mine ALL THE TIME, and it is not only safe to use under the broiler but it also looks great as a serving piece!

Is there a glass lid for this roasting pan?

No. There is no lip on this dish to rest a lid. It has a curved opening both vertically and horizontally by the handles.
