I have a Kirby G5 from years and years ago and it still works great however the roller that I put on it when the original wore out had soft bristles which isn't what I need for the new carpet in the bedroom. This roller brush is definitely the best! It's firm bristles work great. Not sure how long it will last but with attention and care of use it should last a long while. Don't hesitate on this one ... it's a great buy!

I ordered this because I was having problems keeping my old brush roller turning. Turns out that was a result of some bad belts. I had the same problems with this new brush roller. After trouble shooting and talking to a local Kirby service center we figured out it was indeed the belts. Don't buy cheap knock off belts. All is well as we had the Kirby for some time and we were way over due for a new brush roller. This appears to be a genuine Kirby product. The price is great and comes in at half what my service center was going to charge me for one. I do only give it 4 stars due to the lack of warranty mention. Maybe I missed it. While the genuine brush roller from the service centers cost twice as much, they do come with a 1 year warranty. It would be nice if there was mention of this from the seller. The brush roller is working great and I would highly recommend for your G series vac. I have the Ultimate G.

This piece put the vacuum back into our Kirby Vacuum cleaner. It made an amazing difference to the cleaning power of the vacuum. I was shocked at how much of a reduction there had been. This is a highly recommended replacement for those older vacuums.

Our Sentria is around 10 years old and it seemed to need a new belt more often, and you could not put it as low as we used to without it starting to slip--even with a new belt. Finally I decided to try a new roller, as the old one had a very smooth section where the belt is. The new roller completely fixed the slipping issue. I had an old belt and with the new roller it worked 10 times better than the old roller. The new roller appears to be the very same as the old one. Bristles seem very similar in length, maybe a little softer. If your Kirby keeps slipping when you put the roller down, try a new roller. It totally did the trick for us, and it works like it used to. Apparently over the last ten years we put it "too low" too many times, causing the belt to slip and over time that rubbed as smooth groove in the old roller. The new one does the Trick.

Our kirby was having issues burning up belts and the brush-roll would struggle to spin! I saw this on amazon for $30 and thought it was worth a try! When I tried installing it I found that the dark grey/light grey plastic pieces were on the wrong sides. I popped them off and switched them, and then installed it. THIS IS LIKE A WHOLE NEW KIRBY!!! The brush will spin all the time even on the lowest setting with my tall carpet.... when I looked at my old brush I noticed a pretty significant wear mark where the belt rides, no wonder it was slipping!

Installs easy. I have an old Sentria and it is working like new. Installation is a piece of cake. Watch a Youtube video (2 minutes) on how to change the belt, and it will show you how to take out the roller if you don't know how. Just make sure that you note the numbers on the sides and roller and match up the numbers on the new roller when you put it in. Don't forget to put on a new belt! If the lock/unlock gives you trouble (it did me), a couple LIGHT taps from a hammer in the correct direction will get the job done.

Fits and works well

I recently bought a new roller brush for my Kirby vacuum, and I am extremely happy with the purchase. The brush fits perfectly and was very easy to install. After replacing the old one, my Kirby works like new again. It picks up dust, pet hair, and dirt from carpets much more effectively, and the cleaning performance has improved noticeably. The quality of the roller brush feels durable and well-made, just what you would expect for a Kirby. It also runs smoothly and quietly, which makes vacuuming much more pleasant. I would definitely recommend replacing the roller brush if your Kirby is not performing at its best. This replacement made a big difference and was well worth it.
