HERZO Dust Shroud Dust Extraction Cutting Guard for 5 inch and 4-1/2 inch Angle Grinder

Great tool! Cut porcelian tile in place with nearly zero dust.

Fabulous tool for cutting straight lines through lath and plaster walls and ceilings. Amazing amount of dust containment! Removal of walls is easy without weakening plaster on other side of cut line.

Seems to be a well designed product except near impossible to see where you are cutting. Its clear plastic but you can't see the blade where it contacts the concrete. It does have a pointer at the front of the shroud but impossible to chase concrete cracks. Would work fine if cutting a straight line. It did fit my Makita 5" battery powered grinder and comes with a variety of adapters. I ended up cutting the cracks with one hand on the grinder and the other hand on a shop vac hose directly behind the diamond blade. Worked well capturing most all the dust/chips. I did about 150ft of cracks in a couple of hours. Went down about .5" then filled the cracks with self leveling sealant. Sanded the filler a few days later. Good results

I think anyone using this shroud for making straight cuts in concrete will be satisfied. However, mine failed when attempting to use with a 3/8" crack chasing blade. The connecting collar was too fragile to stand up to twisting forces from cutting irregular shapes. The shroud was knocked out of alignment too easily, causing the blade to come into contact with the plastic housing. My workaround was discarding the shroud, and cutting with one hand while vacuuming with the other.

Worked great on my Ryobi angle grinder. It facilitated cutting an angled groove with a crack chaser blade to allow for water drainage on a slab. The height adjustment and guide notch made it work well. Needed an adapter to fit my shop vac hose.

Just opened this item, I paid for a new item and send me a used one. And it’s not functional. There goes mi whole day. Now I have to wait for a new one…

A friend of mine who is into Granite counter tops was going to do me a favor and remove one section of the counter so that the cabinet could be changed. The plan was to cut an existing joint so that the piece would be manageable to lift. Long story short is that I had bought this HERZO cover unit for another job but when I tried to attach it to my Bosch angle grinder it would not go down far enough. The friend who came had another brand and it fit on his just fine. I connected it to my Dewalt 9 gallon shop Vac and he made a perfect dust free cut. I really like how he could set the blade height just right and also keep the angle grinder level using the flat area on the Herzo. That dust free experience and perfect cut was worth the money I paid for this.

This is the best invention. Attching to angle grinder was a no brainer with a solid fit. Made four long cuts to my garage floor with my shop vac attached with no dust. The blade supplied cut very well. Great buy.

I was skeptical about this at first..but it really works great! Eliminated most of the dust when cutting(plaster ceiling) inside..also loved that it has a depth adjustment as well. It made my job WAY easier. I highly recommend this product👍

Parece estar hecho con buen material, la verdad esperaba menos. Tampoco es excelente pero parece que bastará. Además incluye disco de corte de diamantado

Es buena, pero creo que las versiones DIY funcionan mejor y en mucho menor costo.
