Used a pair of these to relocate an AV receiver for whole-home audio system - WORKED GREAT!
Simple and great idea. I needed to move an A/V received to a location on the opposite side of the room where no connections are located. I ran 50 feet of thin Cat6A and with a pair of these, I made all connections to my whole-home speaker system with no issues. Sound quality is great, and these were perfect for my use. I'd buy 'em again and will if I ever need to extend some RCA connections again in the future.

I would like to see a little bit better quality RCA connector ...
I am currently using these to send audio from my A/V rack to my Living Room sound bar, to create a full house audio type environment. They work flawlessly. I would like to see a little bit better quality RCA connector before using these on installs for clients. But for the price they are getting the job done quiet well. The installation for these is super easy if you are at all familiar with terminating RJ45 connectors. Or you should be able to buy a premade cable that can span the distance. Snap these onto the RJ45 and plug in to your audio equipment or TV. For those wondering it is a pack of two so it is enough to do a single run.

Pinouts
I didn't cut these adapters apart to see what is inside, but from the outside they seem like good quality. This is the RJ45 connector pinout, assuming the red plug is for the right channel and the white plug is for the left channel: Pin 1 - Shield, right channel (white/orange wire in T568B standard) Pin 2 - Hot, right channel (orange wire) pin 3 - Shield, left channel (white/green wire) pin 6 - Hot, left channel (green wire) Ethernet cables (CAT5, CAT6, etc.) have 8 wires arranged in 4 twisted pairs. For the purpose that this adapter was designed for (sending a stereo audio signal over a length of Ethernet cable) it doesn't matter which of the 4 pairs is used for the right channel and which for the left, as long as the same type of adapter is used at each end of the cable. Many modern mixer consoles used in broadcast stations use RJ45 connectors for the audio inputs and outputs. One connector is used for each stereo channel, with one twisted pair used for Right and another for Left. The standard is the same as this adapter except that it is "upside down and backwards". "Upside down" because the HI and LO wires of each pair are reversed. That would cause the audio signals to be 180 degrees out of phase. "Backwards" because the Right and Left channels are swapped. Since I needed to make up my own CAT5 cables anyway, I solved the problem by simply connecting pins 1/2 on one end to pins 6/3 on the other end and vice versa. (This is the same as a standard "crossover" cable except for the change in polarity.) Now I can make up patch cables without having to do any soldering.

Works Perfectly!
This worked perfectly. I bought a different Cat6 to 3.5mm converter set for ~$10 previous to this from a different manufacturer, and it didn't work. Bought this one to try, since it was $10. Worked perfectly. My application: IR commands sent from an iTach IP to IR device, outputs via 3.5mm. I have one of the adapters plugged in directly to the iTach, and it goes Cat6 to my destination to the other side of the house. Cat6 gets converted back to 3.5mm with the other end of this adapter set. I have a coupler to make the end female, and I have an IR emitter plugged into the coupler to control IR for that end point device. I use iRule to send HEX IR commands to numerous iTachs controlling devices throughout the house utilizing one remote. iRule = poor man's Crestron. Hope this helps!

Not for car amp bass knobs.
Bought it to use on my Kicker Amps Bass knob, it does not work, it automatically shoots the bass all the way up, if I had not had my volume down I could have blown my speakers easily.

Works but suffers from interference
I tried these to send audio from my Peloton over my home’s CAT6 wiring to the amplifier driving ceiling speakers in the same room. While the setup technically works, I get a lot of 60Hz hum from the other wiring in the walls. I tried adding magnetic chokes but they didn’t help.

Works great nice design
Works great. Integrates well with rj45 to rca as well. Uses pins 1,2,3,6 so be careful if trying to combine with other protocols.

Perfect
Works perfectly as my record player is across the room from my receiver. With a flat cat5 cable between these ports my problem is solved. Tried another black box type one and doesn't work as well, this is better.

They work.
From a computer headphone output across 230ft span shop into a powered mackie thump15 with an xlr to rca adapter it hold signal and works really well. Actually surprised as other cables lose signal and introduce noise and much earlier through the span.
