Don't call the repairman because you can fix your washer with this
The timer controls are usually the first thing to break down on a washer. This replacement item did the trick, and saved me big $ if I had to call a washer repairman. Relatively easy to install, goes in the same way the bad one comes out. It helps to take a picture of the old one before removing so you know which color wire goes where. Works great.

The timer installed easily and works good so far. I maybe should point out that the photo is of the OEM part and not the aftermarket part you will receive. I was, however, not expecting to receive an OEM part. I think the purpose of the photo is to help you properly identify your part.

Replaced in a Hotpoint apartment dryer
Well, this certainly beat paying someone $150 to replace. This took a Nutdriver to remove 2 bolts holding the cover down and 1 small star bit holding the timer down. The dryer was back up and running within 5 minutes. Very pleased.

Switch was broken
Will not count down, also there is no way of knowing what setting it is on. Only way to make it stop is to open the door. Sent for replacement. Does not say how long the replacement will take.

Omg! Best purchase ever! Part select charges me $210 just for the parts, now dryer repair companies charges $300, ridiculous! I found this in amazon, very very good buy! I have Moffatt dryer and it worked. I have installed by myself.
