Review: GREAT MULTI-USE CANE - Well, it's been three years since I bought this anti shock cane and I've had both knees replaced and a lumbar spinal fusion and rehabbed with this cane. The P/T.s all loved it compared to the traditional cane. I am VERY pleased with this hiking cane. It's very sturdy and seems well made. The cork handle is a little longer than other similiar canes. The handle is also VERY comfortable.I added a vulcanized rubber cane tip to increase the 'anti shock' properties of the cane (available thru desertcart).The cane supports me very well and I'm a 200lb. person. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE CHINOOK ANTI-SHOCK HIKING CANE!! ADDEDENDUM: I had my 2nd Total Knee Replacement and The Chinook ThisAnti-Shock Hiking Cane is SO much more comfortable to use than a traditional cane and I actually feel more stable on it than a regular cane. The cork handle is hypoallergenic and will not pull heat away from my hands. It can be adjusted for use as a cane, or as a tall walking stick. When the cane arrived my husband, who has a lower back issue, played with it for a short time and wanted to know if it came in green,and if I would order him one! Adjusts easily to be a cane or a hiking stick. *by B***G on November 27, 2022* I have a bum knee and it is in a brace. A hiking stick is great for stability when I am out doors but they are not allowed as carry on for flying. But a cane is an allowable stability device so I figured I would buy this and as the price was so low if TSA takes it away I am not out that much money. But now that I have used it as a cane and a hiking stick I really hope TSA does not take it from me as it is a really nice cane/hiking stick combo. Update: Take the basket off, in unscrews, then put on rubber foot and shorten to cane and TSA JUST PASSED ME THROUGH.
