Or when will water leak through?** A: The tongue is connected until the 'ankle area' of the boot - but the tongue tucks into the rest of the boot, so your foot remains warm and dry. I just took them out in 2 feet of snow with no issue. I haven't worn them in rain yet, but they've held up to deep snow. I love the height and warmth of these boots. They are very lightweight and incredibly comfortable. There’s a lot of cushion between your foot and the pavement but they’re easy to walk in and drive in. They are not so clumpy that you can’t put your foot on the gas pedal or break. The actually nice looking boot as well. I tested them today. Well outside working just standing directing traffic for about two hours in 15° weather. Normally after about 20 minutes. My toes start getting cold. These felt like slippers with fluffy socks on underneath. They are incredibly comfortable, I would highly recommend them. They are easy to tie and lace up. They don’t cinch or get tight anywhere or bottom my foot or leg in any area. And like I say, I put one pair of socks in them and they were perfect. Not only that, when you touch your pants inside of them the pants don’t bother your legs either. They're super comfy, warm, and totally waterproof so far. I work in Government Camp and Welches in Oregon and they keep my feet warm but not too warm that I can't wear them through my entire shift of cleaning houses. I step in to thigh deep snow and none gets in the boot at the calf thanks to having laces. They run true to size with thin or thick socks and they feel like a snowboard boot at first but conform to the foot nicely. Also slip resistant even on packed snow and ice.
